Self darkening is a joke
I was wanting a pair of glasses that I could use for regular glasses for indoors and sun glasses for out side. Well these self darkening glass are a joke. Hardly darken at all. So if you want regular glass, don'tbuy these because the quality is very poor for the price. If you want sun glasses don't buy these because that are not even close to sunglasses.

Accurate description. Great value.
I recently had cataract surgery so I only need reading glasses and sunglasses. Visually these look great and work great for distance and reading. I had brandname Transition glasses before, so I was familiar with the photochromatic feature. The darkening was similar to the brand name lenses, both fast enough and dark enough. Some reviewers said they don't get dark enough but I disagree. The quality of construction appears to be good, just take good care of them. I also bought similar glasses form LJIMI, and they also worked well. The LJIMI lenses are slightly larger, and they are frameless, so they appear to be more flimsy. I recommend these as a good value.

They work, sort of...
First of all, so glad there's progressive reading glasses. That's what I wear all day, every day. I have 20/20 for far sight, but everything gets gradually blurrier starting at about 10 feet away. I've taken to just wearing glasses all the time. It's just easier.I've paid hundreds at optical places for glasses that do the same as these. That said, these are VERY lightweight. I don't think they will last years-no glasses do. And the photochromatic feature is VERY slight. Not enough to consider them sunglasses when outdoors. They are sold as men's glasses, but they look fine on me. I did have to adjust them, but that was easy because they are so lightweight. All in all, they do what they say they do and for the price it's nice to have an extra pair around.

Love these glasses!
After cataract surgery on both eyes I no longer needed prescription glasses but still needed some for reading and working on the computer. These glasses fit the bill perfectly. In addition to being photo gray they are also progressive lenses. I can use them for driving, reading and working on my computer. The quality is very good especially for the price. My wife even likes the way they look on me which is more than I can say for some of the others I tried,

Beyond Displeased!!
Unfortunately after placing my order for these glasses I suddenly had to travel for work. Needless to say, I returned late on 9/6 and wasn’t able to retrieve from the apartment office where they were delivered. Upon trying them, I was not happy with how they fit and how difficult it was for me to focus. I realize there are included instructions related to progressive lenses, however, I have been wearing progressive readers for (3) years, and I am very familiar with the necessary required movements of your head and/or eyes to achieve best results. What interested me in these was the photo-chromatic option. Perhaps those who have never worn quality progressive readers could get use to them. For the record, the cost of quality progressive readers that I wear everyday is in the $35/pair range. Now what I’m left with is a brand new pair of readers that I cannot use. When I visited my orders page, the statement read “the return window for this order ended on 9/6”, the day I returned. Not happy that I am unable to return these. Not happy at all.

Well worth the extra bucks
I have a bunch of bi-focal sunglasses. They all do the job. Way better then switching between sunglasses & bifocals. Or wearing sunglasses over bifocals. But these glasses are better than the prescription glasses I use. It must be premium plastic or glass they use for the lens. I see great in these.Note, they don't get as dark as I would like but work for what I use them for. (Driving in car, etc.)If they did get darker (like a sunglass) they would be "Perfect"Phil I.
