First off, dont buy this for NC unless you have some shade to protect from the summer heat. I used this on a 1 acre lot. Looked awesome at first but the summer got the best of it and by July it was dormit and there was nothing I could do to stop it. It comes back in spots through the winter but not much, and mostly in shaded areas. I opted for annual rye in the winters now and I know it will die off so I only do the bare min for upkeep. This seed however if you follow the preparation and watering cycles will come up nicely and quick.

Quick. Consistent. Great Value.
This grass didn't have any weeds that I noticed grow along side of it. The image I uploaded shows wild violets in the grass, but those will pretty much never go away and was there before I used this grass seed. This grass came in really quick with the help of aeration, fertilizer, and adding peat moss on top. The quality is good and gives luscious green grass and was a better value than any of the name brands for what you get. It grew in both full sunlight areas and in shady areas. Just remember to water everyday! I'll be buying this again when I need it!

very little growth
may be unfair to judge it as I had a tree removed and the forklift type vehicle that was used drove back and forth over my lawn packing down the sand and killing/uprooting the grass. I bought the seed to fill in but without the tree, the yard bakes in the sun and most of the seed washed away with the erosion due to heavy rains. Now the homeowners association is complaining about "dead sod". Therefore, I can't give a positive review since I only got a few soft sprouts in a secondary area that wasn't damaged

Frankly, I'm surprised
I closely followed the instructions. I used a rake to loosen the soil. I used a good-quality starter fertilizer (Scotts). I ensured the seed and fertilizer were covered by dirt as much as possible. I gave the area (50 square feet) water, every day. This was a test. I didn't want to seed a large area, only to fail (as I had before, with a different product). The results? The area, which was completely bare, is about 90% filled with nice grass. I'm unable to tell the large spot was completely bare. So, for me, it worked quite well, and now I will try other bare spots.

Works
2nd bag I bought. This is by far the best seed that I have bought. I have tried others but for the type of soil and sun my lawn gets, I got the best results from this seed. I live in Michigan and the summers can be brutal. Seeded in early June and about a week in I started to see some growth. Watered everyday and by the third week it could be mowed.

I planted this seed (new lawn) on Sept 7, 2015 and it started germinating on Sept 16, 2015. It is now Oct 1, 2015 and the grass seems to be coming in well and is about 2" in height. I have kept water on it every day to this point. I intend to allow it to dry up on the surface a little to force the root growth to go deeper in preparation for winter. This seed was planted in Colorado at 7300 ft elevation as seems to be doing well at this time.

I am so happy with this grass seed
I am so happy with this grass seed. I used it to over seed my lawn and also to fill in an area. As often as I can I spread the seed over my lawn after mowing. I have done this at both my home and my son's. Both of our lawns are getting extremely thick. My son had a couple of areas where his grass had died so I just started spreading this stuff and his lawn is starting to look very nice. I have done little watering just using the rain and it has done very well.

Followed all directions but it all died out after a couple of months.
Bought this last & planted it last year in fresh topsoil. i followed all directions & it seemed to be filling in ok at first but died out after a couple of months, even following the directions to a tee, watering etc. (i live in New England, btw)I was hoping at least some grass would come up this season... nope, Absolutely nothing. Bare areas everywhere it was used. Bummer.
