I tested the meals, here's my results
I bought the bucket and to be honest it wasn't as good as the military MREs, the flavors are not so good. It says you can cook them by basically just letting them sit in cold water if you have no heat source. I put myself in a survival situation one night, freezing temperatures and tested it. You'll gag eating it if it's not boiled but if your life depended on this meal then it would be a blessing. Even boiled, it's not that great tasting but again, beats nothing at all. Not as good as military grade but definitely a good, cheaper option for a life threatening situation.

COUNTERFEIT PRODUCT! DO NOT BUY
This is not an MRE meal as they described! Also, the product that showed up was a different brand than Emergency Supply Co. They just photoshopped their logo in the image on a different brand. This seller is beyond shady!!!! I can't believe Amazon allows this practice, completely unethical!

most are okay as is when nothing else is available.

Product in bucket had holes spilling out.
Product had holes on the packaging spilling out in the bucket won't last very long like that not 25 years.

way overpriced for what you get
you're better off buying a bucket and filling it with ramen and soup mix from your supermarket. this stuff is marginally palatable, heavy on starch, and nothing like as nutritious as real MRE's or mountain house stuff. i thought I was getting a good deal, and got the business.

nope
Clearly these are NOT MRE's and should not be marketed as such. They aren't a great value either - nor do they taste particularly good. There are good emergency food buckets out there - this isn't one. You want some long term storage like this - just buy some oatmeal and mac-n-cheese boxes - otherwise, pay for real Dehydrated or long-term food storage.

Just instant noodles and cereal
PAY ATTENTION TO WHAT THE BOX CONTAINS: These definitely do not qualify as actual meals, they have all the nutritional value of instant noodle packets. I've tried everything in the bucket and it is definitely not worth the cost.Over a quarter of the "124 servings" (32 servings) are literally just powdered juice. Another 16 servings are just packaged cereal/oatmeal. 36 servings are instant noodles with various sodium-rich powders (same as buying instant ramen). The only mildly palatable option is the "Cheesy Macaroni", but it has the least servings out of anything (4 total). You could purchase the equivalent volume of juice mix, oatmeal, and instant noodles for far, far less than this from other sellers. There is almost no protein besides the "whey milk alternative"-- these "meals" are incomplete, and are more like unhealthy snacks with vastly inadequate nutritional profiles.

Not an MRE
MRE means, Meals Ready to eat...NOT meals you have to add water too and then cook.
