Tone is very nauseating and obnoxious, don't expect this to sound like Tanpura
I was expecting more of Tanpura style sound but this has a very weird monotonic sound that made me nauseous. Almost like a bad alarm sound. I bought other model from the same vendor "Radel Milan" that has more realistic tanpura sound and is very pleasant. If your are looking for instrument that is more for Shruti for Indian music, this is not a good instrument. Look at you tube videos of how each model sounds before you make correct decision.

Great product
Loved the shruthi box....I am happy about the product...It is compact and portable. It has flexible controls to choose panchamam and madhyamam and easy pitch selection. I was able to use the metronome options also - all in all its a great & compact product

Quality is good, but comes with India plug, be ready with your own cable or converter
Quality of the product, delivery is good. Sound is good.Works fine. The Vendor ships the box with couple of small pluggable adapter to convert from India pin to US.But its not working.Good to buy a local $10 cable on Amazon which has US plug.Vendor can send a working adapter which will be good.

Don’t waste your money on this
crap product. The converter is not working. Tried it with a set of batteries and sounds like a drone.

Drone sounding noise
This is no electronic tanpura. Don't bother with this cheap stuff and get the Raagini model.

Decent, but certainly not close to a real tambura
It's quite good, though it certainly doesn't sound like a real tambura. But it does give a decent solid tone and aadhara shruti for music practice. The controls are quick and easy to operate, and the power plug being available for different countries is nice.
