The outside of the packaging list the correct filter number for my refrigerator. Unfortunately, when I tried the filter it leaks continuously. I've been noticed that the filter itself has a different model number. I am returning the product. The model number on the filter is actually DA29-00003A not 3G.I am updating this to a more positive review because the seller has made numerous attempts to resolve the situation. They do appear to have other models that will work for my fridge but it is still a concern that the filter numbers on the box versus on the filter itself do not match. The description of the product should be updated to clarify it does not work when the true 3G version of the filter is needed.Final update and I am giving them 5 starts for the extra effort on customer service. They have successfully sent me a filter that works! Please see the photos of the new filter.

This filter has 3 tabs and it should have two. If you install it will leak. Go on you tube and you can see how to fix problem. It tells you to cut off first tab. Received replacement and it would not fit. Had to buy 3 tab and cut off. Called Samsung they would not admit the had a problem. Samsung service Dept was not helpful at all.Received e mail saying it was not their fault because they have a two tab and 3 tab. When I bought filters it said it would fit my model. Nothing was in description about two tab or three. The company said they would replace with correct one. I purchased filters for the lake house and they were find but it uses the long ones. When I receive the right filter I will give them a 5 rating. So far they have been very good.

I have a Samsung frig and use other name brands water filter because I was able to save 5 dollars and boy was this a mistake. Everyday I would find water which had leaked in the bottom of my frig, and turned to ice from that night. I thought that I needed to purchase a new frig because I could not find this leak. I took a paper towel and placed it under the new water filter and was surprised to see my search was over. I made sure the water filter was correctly installed and tight but it continue to leak. I purchased the Samsung DA29-00003G water filter and my troubles came to an end. No longer will I waste my time on other cheaper brands and to think I almost purchase a new frig over $2,000.00 dollars.

Appeared to fit properly (in Samsung fridge), but leaked. Reinstalled several times, but still leaked. Just bought the much higher-priced brand name product (which had worked before). Here's hoping.Post Hoc:A month has gone by, and the $24.95 model is still working fine. Just got a call from the seller of this (much) cheaper model (I guess it's Aqualutio) who was very unhappy with my review. He explained (if I understand) that Samsung has changed its design without changing the model number. Some require a two-tooth threaded surface, and some a three-tooth thread.)So maybe the product is not defective, as I had thought.The situation is not helped by the fact that the product pictures show the filter with a red cap covering the threads. How you are supposed to know whether this will fit properly, God only knows.In the reviews for the Samsung 00003G Aqua Pure Plus for $24.95, a number of people noted that they had to shave off part of the first "tooth" to make it fit. That was definitely not my situation. Both filters seemed to screw in just fine. But this one leaked in my application, and that is just a fact. And the model numbers are exactly the same. Go figure.I was floored to be called by a rep on a Sunday afternoon, following up on my negative review. They obviously really want their customers to be happy. All I can say is, try the cheapie "compatible": It might work in your fridge, and you'll save a lot of money.But be aware that it might not fit right and it might leak.

I have purchased 3 different brand filters for my Samsung fridge, and the other two made the water taste weird no matter how much water I flushed through it. This is the only brand that leaves the water with no taste.

After reading reviews of leaking I was concerned my would do the same once installed but I have had no issues with it. Water comes out clear and It does state that it reduces lead & mercury, some herbicides and pesticide and particulates along with the chlorine reduction/removal

I've replaced the water filter in my Samsung model RF268ABRS refrigerator numerous times with other replacement filters without any problems. This time, I decided to buy this AL-1182 filter sold by Aqualutio. The filter locked into place just like all the previous filters I've replaced and I went through the normal process of immediately running 3 gallons of water through the water dispenser. Everything seemed to be OK until I returned home late from work the following night and my son informed me that the refrigerator was full of water. Sure enough, the filter had started leaking from the top even though the filter was on tight. I removed the filter and the leaking stopped. I then put the filter back on hoping it wouldn't leak anymore after putting it back on. No such luck. It started leaking again! I took it off and left it off so I wouldn't have more water leaking as I cleaned and dried the entire refrigerator. DO NOT BUY!!!
