No, there is no stitching up the middle of the hand pocket. The pocket is on the back side of the mitt and its open so your whole hand can slip into it.

Q: Is this product mad in the USA?

The tag inside says made in China. Also they look very nice but are not flexible. You will have to wash them a couple of time to soften the fabric as they are a little stiff.
