It’s a tube threaded on end. Simple.
I received a 30 inch and 40 inch which gives me right at 6 ft for half the price of a 6 ft. One. Came in a crushed box. But they were not bent. I was a machinist for 44 yrs. so I paid attention to the threads as people commented on some being rough. Mine were fine. A small bure where the tread cut starts. That is the nature of the beast. If they had of had a problem. A three corner file which is 60 degrees. That is what threads are cut at. Harbor freight has a cheap set of needle files. And you may not think you need them around till you get some. If you see a small flat place on threads on one side as I did. That is not a smush. They are machined out of hex rods. It is just where the the rod was a touch out of center when cut. Not taking the major diameter of the threads to a complete point. This not a problem. If you did loose the plastic seal washer. You can find something that will work. If you have a problem with these go spend more money. It’s a tube. Simple. I did attach my washer to rod with a zip wire tie when not using Incase cap came off.

great product
I work as a professional residential and commercial painter and purchased this product to extend my reach using a Graco airless gun on a Graco 395 sprayer. It allowed me to spray the entire sides of a house, top to bottom without using a ladder. It is short enough to have good control, and long enough to make a "reach" difference. I attached this to my spray gun, and moved the spray tip from the gun to the end of this extension....no leaks on either end, even using hand tightening. I have used a 30" extension, and it was more difficult to control and had the typical problem of spitting paint when releasing the trigger. This happens with extensions due to the momentum of the paint in the tube post trigger and out the tip. The longer the extension, the more pronounced this issue. With this 15" length, the spitting is minimal....and the control is such, you can spray to a natural break point and/or control and time the release to not have the paint spit on the surface you are painting. It is light, well made, and comes with a nylon washer on the end that attaches to the gun....this is the key to no leaking. I purchase a number of items from Amazon, and write very few reviews. This product is worth it!

Be careful not to lose the plastic washer that comes with this; it's easy to miss!
I bought this extension to use with my Titan 1700 sprayer. The product comes packaged in a plastic bag, with two red plastic covers over the male and female threaded ends. However, loose at the female ends is a flat, clear plastic washer that is very easy to overlook. I didn't see it at first, but thankfully I did not throw out the packaging right away. When I used the extension it leaked, so I checked the Amazon reviews to see if other people were having the same problem; thankfully one of the reviews mentioned the plastic washer. I went back and looked in the packaging and found the washer, and now the extension does not leak. It could be better packaged to avoid this problem; the problem is that the washer is small and clear, and it does not fit snugly in the extension, so it will fall out by itself or when you are cleaning the unit.

Worked great; no leaks for me.
After watching a bunch of youtube videos about airless paint spraying, I decided I needed an extension for my HF airless sprayer. This one was way cheaper than the Graco or some other brands. I used this with my HF gun and had absolutely no issues. I did not need to use the plastic washer that came with the extension. I simply removed the spray tip from my gun and added the extension and then added the spray tip. I had no issues with leaks as I sprayed Sherwin Williams Emerald latex exterior paint. This extension made it much easier to reach the high & low places with much less ladder moving/climbing. I also used a paint shield on a 4' handle to protect the eaves when spraying. I will say that the extension made it a little more challenging to accurately control the tip one-handed. Balancing on the ladder with the shield in one hand and the gun in the other with arms extended took some effort and concentration. Still... highly recommend this extension!

did a great job. The cons
The pros: It worked well to sprayed as intended. Even though I was just painting a fence the 10 inch extension helped tremendously and i didnt have to bend over as much...did a great job.The cons: It's got a flat unfinished coating which absorbs paint if not cleaned immediately after use..and it had some rough edges especially on the threads..but for the price it was more than well worth it. If you're a professional and will use it everyday you might want a chrome coated name brand one...but for the do it yourselfer..it's definitely a must and at a great price.

Works great
Purchased the product to use with with the gun that came with my Krause & Becker airless paint sprayer. The product worked as expected with no issues. I finished my basement recently and had to paint the ceiling and walls (4,600+ sq ft of drywall) with KILZ PVA primer and then again with a finished coat of paint from Sherwin Williams. Both the airless sprayer and extension pole worked flawlessly together. I would strongly suggest purchasing this product, which allows you to reach a larger surface area with far less movement that if you were to spray without an extension rod. If you have ceilings taller than 8 or 9 feet I would suggest purchasing a 30 inch extension pole.

Works great with Harbor Freight airless sprayer
Picked this up to use with the harbor freight / krause & becker airless sprayer to paint my own house recently. Worked great. Helped hit some areas up high that would have been hard to reach without an extension and helped spraying larger walls at standing height. Easy to install. Just make sure you don't lose the small plastic washer that comes with it to seat it to the gun body and make sure you secure it tight. Overall I'm happy with it.

No seals-Requires wrench
The extension is extremely lightweight but does make the spray gun a bit more cumbersome. It takes a few minutes to get used to the length to maintain the proper tip to surface distance. There is no seal on either end of the extension. Because of this you will need to tighten with wrenches. I tried hand tight like I do with the sprayer tips and it leaked on both ends. That's the only reason for not rating 5 star
