This arrived ahead of scheduled delivery date. The shipping container was in excellent condition. I have used the Paint Bucket and it makings working on a ladder very safe and you always have paint available without having a bucket of paint in one hand, a brush in the other while hugging a ladder. The brush is held out of the paint in a readily available position. One can use a gallon freezer storage ZipLoc as a liner in and rapped around the red paint bucket and NO cleanup required. After several usages my bucket is spotless and clean as new. Not bad. I didn't fill it up past half way which seemed like a good choice. I didn't jump around, but I was going up and down a ladder multiple times to paint a shed and not incidents. The magnet dropped the brush in the paint a couple times, but that was a minor inconvenience. Held my 5 way scraper tool...didn't really use the "rag" hooks yet. I'll update when I try that bit out

Good idea, but as a professional painter it doesn’t work very well. I couldn’t climb ladder or bend over to paint base.
I am a professional paintiing contractor, so i’m always looking for a easier and faster way to paint. I used this on a small scaffold because walking, climbing ladders, or bending over is impossible with it. I tried putting it in different positions but didn’t help. On the scaffold it worked but not much easier. Also, i removed the top of the bucket because you don’t want to scrape the paint of the brush, after you dip the brush you just pull it out and gently slap the sides of the bucket. The more paint you want, the deeper you put your brush in. Scraping the sides makes the job take forever because you take all the paint off the brush. The maginet doesn’t help either, we just screw in a small hook into our brushes.

Save your money
purchased this, used it once because i like to try new gadgets for work just in case someone found the next greatest thing. This is not it. Great build quality, great idea in theory, but in no way practical for anything other than minor touch ups. Still cant beat the hook and pale!

I was hesitant it try it but am very glad I did
This system is a life-saver, literally! After, a close call on the ladder painting window sills while juggling my bucket and brush I decided to a Google search for paint bucket holder. I was hesitant it try it but am very glad I did.It keeps the bucket very stable on my hip and the magnet allows me to keep my brush from going in all the way to the handle. The lip around the top stops spills and I would definitely recommend it, makes painting less messy in general and safer on a ladder.

Handy Paint and Tool Holder
I used the Buddy System Paint Bucket when painting my old shed recently ... and learned a few things. It's great for taking a moderate amount of paint with you when painting by brush. The no-drip edges work well for cleaning your brush without getting any outside the paint cup. The magnet holds the brush, usually. The whole thing attaches to your sturdy belt to keep the paint handy. What didn't work so well:I put it on my right hip. When my right hand got tired, I painted left-handed. Reaching across didn't work so well. However, it's easy to pull the paint cup out of the older and hold it in the tired hand while painting with the fresh hand. When crouching down to paint the bottom of the shed walls, I had to be careful not to spill the paint, as the bucket did not stay level. As long as you fill it only about half way, this should not be a big problem. The brush sometimes fell off the magnet into the paint as I moved around. The magnet should be stronger. The area under the lip of the paint cup is hard to clean and the paint there tends to dry during your painting session. The paint cup has a narrow bottom. With little or no paint in it, it's pretty tipsy, especially with a brush on the magnet. To fill it, I figured out how to hold the one-gallon paint can with one hand (fingers on the bottom, thumb through the wire handle, pour over the front side to preserve the information on the back) and the paint cup in the other. Once it's about one-third full, the paint cup stands on its own.Overall, I do recommend this paint bucket, especially for working on a ladder or walking around doing touch-up painting. Just be aware of the limitations and don't put a full quart of paint in it unless you're going to be constantly vigilant about keeping your torso upright.Review of: Big Boy Ind 5210 Buddy System Paint Bucket Holder with Dripless Paint Bucket

Buddy Bucket
Great for major paint projects and small touch ups. I wear two, one for the primary and one for the trim. Makes touch ups fly
