My pets love this food but started having problems getting it. Found out that Purina is discontinuing this product unfortunately.

My dogs, especially my bully boy breed, had really bad allergy symptoms. I was feeding a chicken based dry and wet food with the usual additives. My bully boy started losing hair on his rump, and even though he was on flea meds, he was consistently scratching. I talked with his vet and he suggested a seafood based diet without flour or corn. I started my dog on this product and within a week, stopped scratching and biting his skin. His hair started growing back. I was so impressed that I gave this food to my other dogs and they all love it. I recommend the seafood diet to anyone that has a dog with allergies. No need to worry about soy, corn or flour or the usual meat additives like antibiotics or hormones.

Our Australian Cattle dog’s hair has been falling out like crazy after the vet recommended one of the Purina Pro Plan dog foods for weight loss (he loved it with the shredded chicken pieces that are mixed into it, but he’s allergic to chicken). Something in it disagrees with his skin and coat.After a few weeks of this Beyond salmon, pumpkin, and egg - he stopped shedding tufts of hair like he was. It also seemed to clear up any flaky skin and hot spots on him. We alternate this with the Nature’s Recipe Salmon, sweet potato, and pumpkin blend. He loves both of them. He does not tolerate foods with chicken as the main ingredient.

Purchased this to see if it would stop my dog from itching, sure enough it has. I read the reviews from others which gave me the push to try it. Now I feel as though I'd share my findings to others as well. I have a 4 year old German Shepard pure bred. Unfortunately, at 3 he has suffered from epileptic seizures. We had to change his food frequently, to prevent certain ingredients for him to eat. Specific ingredients can cause a seizure. We switched about two maybe 3 months ago to this food. Not only does he not scratch himself to sometimes bleeding, he truly enjoys eating his food. Give it a try! Or dog likes. We have only tried the Salmon this far. We have yet to try any other.

My dog Watson has a sensitive stomach, and he loves this food. LOVES it. No more constant puking! But his breath - I thought he was licking infected butt glands. Seriously, his mouth smelled like a discount brothel during fleet week. Sadly, his favorite meal was creating a stench to rival 80,000 sweaty granny panties. We’ve just switched to the beef flavor; I expect good things, without the wharf dumpster breath.

It’s great for my senior dog because the salmon is great for her aging bones and skin and the pumpkin is easy and good on her stomach !

First, this is NOT a grain-free dog food like many people have said it is. If you read the ingredients, rice and barley are some of the first ingredients listed. So please read the ingredients if you believe your dog has an allergy, but that being said, also make sure that allergy has been confirmed by a vet before switching to a grain-free food as you could slowly be killing your dog while simultaneously thinking you are giving them something better.This specific dog food cured my dogs frequent digestion issues. He was on Blue Buffalo before and often had diarrhea which also increased the need for anal expressions. :( After switching to this, he has had firm stool and no digestion issues, his anal expressions went from one every other week to maybe once every couple of months or less. Wish they made another flavor.

Dog eats it maybe because she is just hungry! I don't like that there are so many grains and not really good protein. I will try other brands. We've only had her 2 months and she is 5 yrs old. Don't know what was fed to her previously. We are also adding boiled chicken and salmon oil to the ration.
