So pretty!
I use this as a terrarium that fits on my windowsill. I did modify this by sealing all the joints with clear silicone to make sure it wouldn't leak, and would maintain humidity inside. I can't seal the little top door, but it seems to hold the moisture very well. The little wire prop thing is pretty annoying, it needs to be carefully balanced to keep the door open, and is always in the way when it's closed. I bent it so it wouldn't hit my plants.

Very pleased
NOTE: Does leak water if you overwet the soil.Otherwise perfect little Victorian terrarium.

Adorable, but too small for most plants
This is really cute and would make a fantastic little moss terrarium or miniature diorama. Anything other than the smallest or plastic plants will outgrow it very quickly. The glass is VERY THIN and feels delicate.

Cute terrarium. It’s not meant for snails or to hold water
This is a miniature Terrarium!! it is not meant to hold snails, it is not meant to hold water. So the bad reviews are kind of bogus!! because that’s not what it’s meant for. it’s a terrarium and you put live plants in there and they grow from the moisture. there should never be any water put in this. It’s definitely has a small door that would be my only gripe. Oh and the price went up 7.00 overnight.

The lid sucks.
Cons:-This is not water tight, so don’t expect it to hold in much moisture, unless you seal it.-The hinged lid is very small. I have average sized hands for a woman and it was a pain moving things around in there.-The metal latch to keep the lid open is ridiculous, if it doesn’t catch on the metal at the right angle it won’t keep the lid open.-The glass is fragile, it won’t break if you just look at it but you really do not want it hitting anything accidentally.Pros:-It is adorable!-I used it as a greenhouse for a couple of small plants after sealing it to hold a bit of moisture and it worked amazingly well.I don’t think it’s worth the thirty-odd dollars I bought it for but if you can get it for cheaper, it’s not bad.

I have bought several of these
I often make terrariums for my family and friends as gifts and have purchased several of these in different sizes. Charming little greenhouse.

Disappointed
I hate to leave a bad review because I have a feeling that a third party is to blame. I've been in the market for a terrarium and came across this one on Amazon. It was the perfect size and I liked the style. However, when it arrived it was damaged. Before I even opened the box I could hear broken glass. I assumed that it was probably the mail system but then was shocked when I opened the box to see that there wasn't packaging to buffer the little terrarium at all. Absolutely nothing, peanuts, bubble wrap, styrofoam, etc. I can't believe someone would take a product with glass and just plop it into a box without anything to protect it but that's exactly what happened. What a waste because it was a cute little terrarium and would have worked out nicely. Again, I hope the company works things out with the shipping department because it looked like a great product (too bad).
