Great for the peach fuzz
This epilator is great for those fine hairs. It is not meant for the thicker harder to remove ones. It does its job very well. I have had mine for years now still works fabulous.

A fne little epilator
In our household we have 3 Emjoi epilators (all from Amazon) and we like them all for different things. So I will post this same review for all three. We started with the AP-9T Tweezers - about $13.95. It is a small battery-operated unit. At first we had to learn how to use an epilator - how to hold it, etc., but once we got all that down, we found it worked really well for the small areas like upper and lower lip. Unless there is a massive amount of hair, it is not painful but you can feel when it "makes hits" - like a tweezer pull. It is not particularly useful for underarms and it would take too long to do the legs. But since we had got quite addicted to being hairless (and didn't have to run out to be threaded every 3 weeks), we decided to buy another so that my daughter and I would each have one. This time we went up a notch to the Emjoi AP-9L Epi-Slim. It is about $14.77 at Amazon and also battery operated. We like it much better. It too is great for the small areas like the upper and lower lip and chin. But we decided to also try a more expensive one. This time we bought the Emjoi AP-18 Emagine Dual Tweezer set. It is about $74.71 and it is more like the size of a men's shaver. It is corded and more powerful. This one does great under the arms and on the legs and even in the bikini area. It is not so good on the small areas like the upper and lower lip because the dual heads don't fit that well. But it will do the rest of the face and quite powerfully. The first time we tried to do the cheeks and the side of the face, it hurt - like little electric shocks as it pulled all that baby fine fuzz most of us have there. It makes your face so smooth. But once you get past the first few times and the bulk of the hair has been pulled, it is not painful.Ladies, there is no reason to be hairy! These gadgets really work.

Does nothing - don't waste your money
I misplaced my Tweezee that I've had for probably over a decade during a recent move so I bought what I thought would be an exact replacement. They look exactly the same, but my tweezee was amazing at plucking out every hair in its path and this thing plucks out..... NOTHING - like literally nothing. I'm running it over eyebrow stumble that I can clearly see between my eyebrows and it doesn't pluck a single hair - I try every angle and still nothing... on hairs ranging from 1mm long to a 1/4 inch or 1/2 inch, still can't snag ANY of them. The pluckers seem to be spinning faster than my tweezee did.... so maybe it's just going too fast to catch the hairs? I'll need to find some half drained batteries to see if that helps. But, if the issue is just simply a poor design that I can't change then they're just completely useless. I've tried them several times now on different areas and maybe I've managed to pluck 5 hairs total by now.... after numerous attempts for quite a few minutes on a bunch of different days.... these are jobs that with my original tweezee, I would have completed in under a minute, instead 1-2 weeks later I'm still looking at the same shabby eyebrows (I at least had time to use a regular tweezer to take care of the stray hairs on my chin)

Take off the cap to get best results
Update: this broke in less than 2 yearsFantastic. I was using a large body epilator on my lip and it hurt so much more than this does (it is more powerful). It still feels like little rubber bands snapping your skin, but it's less painful than threading or waxing, in my opinion, and way cheaper and cleaner. It only hurts on the upper lip for me, I don't even feel it anywhere else I use it. Threading used to cost me $15 every time, so the savings are immediate. It didn't work well with the clear cap on, so I did like I do with my body epilator and took it off, and now it captures 95% of hairs. Just hold your skin tight and barely glide over and you won't need the cap. Read the instructions it came with or look online for instructions because there is a right and a wrong way to epilate. I love how tiny this is, that it is battery operated, and I can use it quickly and cleanly because it will make it easier to do it as often as needed to always have a shadow-free lip and get those chin hairs I can't see well enough to tweeze.

Great on peach fuzz hairs but not the big monsters
This is great for those fine almost invisible peach fuzz hairs on your face. Unfortunately for me, it does not tackle the post-menopausal monster black and whites that are now starting to beard my under chin. I LOVE my Emjoy 72 larger epilator for legs and arm pits and was hopeful this little guy could catch those tough menopause saplings but sadly it does not. The big Emjoy 72 catches most of them but I have to let them grow out to almost curly status for it to. Thus why I tried this one. Returning to Amazon and resuming individual hand tweezer service.
