Clever but are they good
Preface – as is becoming too common, this page throws a lot of product varieties, 8 different variations, on to one page so often you have no idea what other people’s reviews are talking about. To be clear then, mine is for the Tall Dark and Handsome in the 40 count size.I may be one of the least loyal to any coffee brand anywhere. That’s one of the major reasons I got a Keurig, so I could have whatever kind of coffee I felt like, whenever I felt like it to the point if I’m drinking several cups in a row they may all be completely different brands. When I see a flavor of coffee for my brewer I’m almost sure to try it and it’s amazing how much difference there can be.I didn’t know any history of this brand, in fact most of the Keurig compatible brands have almost no history at all. But the company behind this brand has been around since 1935 and is employee owned and based in the Midwest. Their claim to fame is being the behind the scenes supplier to restaurants, coffee houses and café until they ventured out into the retail market with Joe Knows Coffee. Well, if Joe doesn’t know coffee I don’t know who does. Joe Knows Coffee is sold in a mainstream medium roast that appeals to just about everyone who drinks coffee and a more robust blend called Tall Dark and Handsome, which is the one I bought. And come on, who doesn’t want to wake up to something tall dark and handsome? The stuff to know about this is that it is 100% Arabica Coffee, compatible with both the older and newer Keurig brewers and that the pods are the open mesh style rather than the sealed plastic ones. There are pros and cons to that kind of mesh pod. On the plus side the water flows faster I think and of course they are much more environmentally friendly. But on the other hand since they are not sealed (and filled with nitrogen) they have a shorter shelf life after you open the box and you can’t, or at least shouldn’t, store them in any kind of open air rack, they are best stored tightly sealed in a foil bag. Most brands of mesh pods use one foil bag for the entire supply. Kudos to Joes for making the extra effort to individually seal each pod individually it its own foil pouch. Other than that I don’t have any strong feelings either way about the pros and cons of the two styles of pods.At about 65 cents per pod they are at the upper end of my budget which tries to stay at no more than 50 cents per pod, and preferably down around 30 cents. Careful about that though, if you click the wrong link you could pay a lot more.Overall the comes down to taste whether it is worth it or not, and compared to some of the Keurig pods that can be weak and watery these do taste a lot more like a cup of freshly brewed coffee, and therefore I like them.

This is my favorite Keurig pod coffee so far. I love the aroma and the taste.

Tall Dark and Handsome- Absolutely the best K-cup coffee we have tried.
This review is for Tall Dark and Handsome in the 40 count size. We like very dark,, unflavored coffee without any bitterness, and Starbucks is too expensive for everyday. Joe Tall Dark and Handsome is BETTER than Starbucks (smoother and more complex), and comparable in price to Eight O Clock. We bought the 40 count size - And Im back to buy more. Each cup tasted strong, very fresh, and not bitter. My husband loves it too and he is pickier than me (usually makes his with a crank grinder and French press each morning, but for Joe he will use the Keurig. ). If they keep Joe at this price point, it will be our everyday coffee.Update: Amazon says now we have bought this coffee 33 times. Its still our favorite, economical and delicious.

Good coffee
I love this coffee, but did not sign up for regular deliveries which they kept sending... even after I notified them. Now I have a glut of it

Great product, great customer service, outstanding business relations
I was introduced to Joe's coffee by a friend and since my first cup, I have been a huge fan of the coffee. I have recommended Joe to quite a few people who I know enjoy a strong cup of coffee. And the Kcups are not plastic which made me love it even more. Overall, a great product but that is not the only reason that prompted me to write this review. I recently had an issue with one of our orders of Joe (we usually order 2 boxes of the 40 count Kcups) every 30-60 days. When they were contacted about this, they promptly addressed this issue by refunding the order, sending a replacement order along with a travel mug and a handwritten note from their customer relations manager. Most companies would stop at a refund but the fact that the company went the extra mile to make sure their customer was satisfied was impressive . The little gesture of a handwritten note (than a boiler plate regret letter) made it meaningful and speaks volumes about their business model. 5 stars for the product and the company!

Excellent taste, pod design needs work
Absolutely delicious, wonderfully deep, dark flavor, excellent coffee!!!! However, I have a commercial Keurig and it just does NOT like this brand's pods. A big flooding mess in the pod/k-cup holder each and every time I brew. Not sure what the problem is, but water seems to have difficulty evenly disbursing in these pods. I have tried other brands and none seem to have this issue perhaps due to differences in pod materials. Whatever it is, I won’t be buying again due to this messy issue. Too bad, I LOVE this delicious coffee but don’t want to deal with the mess every day and it is not my machine which works perfectly.

Its a nice strong roast but the flavor is a bit bitter compared to the Morning Joe
This is a great coffee. Its bold and has a nice dark flavor to it. I feel that it is a bit bitter though. I prefer the Morning Joe or Breakfast blend. I drink coffee early in the morning and I feel this coffee would be better suited for after dinner or a cold winter afternoon.

I absolutely love Joe Tall Dark and Handsome!
I like a dark roast with strong flavor and not real acidic. This is a rich, mellow, delicious brew. I also like Laughing Man dark roast and Peet's Major Dickinson blend, but of the three, Joe TD&H is my preference. As a packaging note, I prefer these completely compostable pods that Joe markets. They work in my Keurig with no problems, and I've used them daily and trouble free for months. Joe also markets the same coffee in plastic pods, which are easy to recycle, too. The coffee and paper filter tear out cleanly, so I can compost that part, then rinse and recycle the plastic pod, but the completely compostable pods are the easiest. The price is excellent and shippingwas speedy.
