Fantastic!
First things first, I ended up returning this watch (strange, eh?, considering I gave it a five star review but more on that in a bit). I bought my first Invicta over ten years ago—an 8926ob, the watch that started it all for Invicta, so to speak. It was a great, high quality timepiece at a great price, and in many ways the present-day 8929ob is the same watch, albeit in golden hue of course. But what most impresses me is Invicta’s apparent commitment to consistently improving their products. For example, both from reviews I’ve read and personal experience, it seems it was pretty commonplace in the past for Invicta dive watches to arrive with bezels so tight it took a herculean effort to turn them even a few clicks. It was a problem solved easily enough by placing a few drops of tri-flow or similar lubricant into the seam between the bezel and the watch case but still frustrating. And the date magnifier on my old 8926 was, shall we say, cosmetic at best since any magnification was barely perceptible. The 8929’s appears to be the real deal and noticeably enlarges the date numerals. Finally, the accuracy out of the box is astounding. Over the course of several days it kept perfect time with minimal winding. So with so much going for the 8929 why didn’t I keep it? I’ve concluded gold watches just aren’t my thing, though the coloring is beautifully executed here—nothing cheap or chintzy appearing at all. If I had kept it, I would almost certainly have put it on a Yachtmaster-style black rubber strap to make it a little more subtle. Who knows, maybe someday I will? But for now, kudos to Invicta for making such a high-end product and making it available at such a great price.

Good watch for the money!
I paid ~$50 for my Invicta Pro Diver watch on Amazon. It was delivered THE NEXT DAY after ordering, which astonished me. I opened the wrapper to find a very nice "Invicta" box (ugly yellow color!) with the watch inside. It started "ticking" immediately once I picked it up. I shook it a little to "charge" the automatic watch engine, and set the time. That takes me to commentary on the bracelet. The bracelet on the watch is different that bracelets I've had on my other watches. It's not complicated, but being new it quite stiff. The first few times I took it off took some effort, but it's much better now. That's my only beef with this remarkable little watch so far, the bracelet, and I think the bracelet is going to be great once it's broken in.As for timekeeping, I set it to my "atomic clock" at home and it's consistently stayed within 1 minute of the time on that clock since I first set it. I found it has a reliable Seiko engine, and I've found it to be very accurate, especially for a bargain automatic watch.Overall I'd rate this a 4+ star watch, but for the money it's better than 4 stars. Maybe I got lucky, but this watch is superb so far and I'm actually enjoying it a great deal.

Stunning watch you can enjoy for years
I bought this watch 2.5 years ago and still enjoy it immensely. I always wanted a gold Submariner, so I did the next best thing and bought the Invicta at one fifth the price of a Rolex regular service. I was weary, of course, of the gold "plating", but read it was anodized and really robust. This I can confirm. With many fine scratches on the watch now, there's not a single spot where silver metal shines through under the gold. Excellent. I rated the accuracy only 4 out of 5, because the watch runs a bit fast, maybe 10 secs per day. But fast is much better than slow, as you are never late (just like with the real thing).People frequently comment on the watch positively. Most likely they assume it's the real thing, I guess. In conclusion, you can't go wrong with this watch, either as your daily, or as a trial in case you are saving up money for a real Sub.
