Nice looking and minimalist
5 stars based on the unwrap! Really nice looking bag. Will be putting it to work at EDC Las Vegas next weekend. I was surprised how small the bag is and it only holds 50oz or 1.47 liters or 0.39 gallon or about 6 cups of water (not a ton but should hold my girl and I for a set or two). Will update as necessary.

Rough straps/stitching
Bought this CamelBak for my longer runs (8mi.+). This backpack is fantastic except for the straps and stitching. The material used for this product is a much rougher type than other hydration packs - think of a nylon duffel bag, instead of a smooth nylon pack. It may increase durability but is much different than the smoother material of other packs. The stitching connecting the straps to the main body are also really rough. Why do I care? I run either with a technical shirt, like a Dri-Fit, or shirtless. I could feel it snagging on my shirt as I tried it on... I can only imagine what it would be like after intense exercise. Distance runners, take note!

possibly fake? used? i don't know, I'm doing research, contacting camelbak
well, so far, i think the bag itself is real, but I think the bladder is either a fake or has been replaced with one that didn't originally come with this bag. The tube is supposed to have a quick release valve and it doesn't. I've contacted camelbak about this. I will update review when i get more informationok on camelbak website i found this bag, it's under the military/tactical section. This definitely came with a different bladder than what's supposed to be in it. I tried to post a link, but amazon removed it. This is what it is supposed to have:Â Camelbak 50 oz/1.5L MIL-SPEC Antidote Accessory Reservoir 90855

This pack is great for running
This pack is great for running. Just the right size. I use it on all my long training runs. If you flip it upside down after filling and suck the air out you won't get any sloshing while running.

Great investment!
As a cyclist doing 25-30 mile rides in warm weather conditions, I was finding 1 water bottle was not sufficient. A friend suggested this hydration pack and it has worked great. The surprise is that I find it far safer using the hydration pack than reaching down between my legs to grab a bottle...thus taking my eyes off the road. I also find I do a better job of drinking along the route. Having a tube right there on your shoulder to take a drink is a lot easier than reaching down, drinking and putting the bottle back...so I tended not to drink as much. When done with the ride, I will drain all the water out of the bladder (including draining the drink hose). I will them take a sheet of paper towel folded over and place inside the bladder. I will then hang the pack on a cloths hanger in my closet. The paper towel helps to draw out any remaining moisture in the bladder and keep the bladder walls from touching and thus holding moisture. Using this technique, I have had one ounce of problem. (Pun intended). ;-)

Awkward
This is a fairly bad example of Pack/hydration units. I bought it for a week-long cross country motorcycle ride across the high desert. I was disappointed at how difficult the pack was to use. Filling is very awkward. You really have to remove the bladder from the pack and then try to screw the lid back on. It resists seating. Then you have to stuff the bladder back into the pack while trying to keep the hose coiled just enough times so that it comes out at the right length. It was difficult enough that I didn't bother. For such a small amount of water, I'll stop and take a swig from a bottle.

After using it 2 years. Here are my thoughts
Never wrote a review for this and it’s been two years now. Perfect for running/trail running/hikingOnly holds 50oz but this isn’t to hike 8 hours...maybe 2 hours just because of the amount of water it holds and depending how hot it is you can do 3-4. Know your limits...maybe you’re in amazing shape..you can do 8 hours or more! I saw some people reading and saying it scratches you on the arm out or whatever....sack up! It’s gonna happen depending on how tight it is or if you’re only wearing a sports bra. Maybe wear a nice shirt? LOLCapacity wise it’s great. This is minimalism remember. In mine I can fit a chapstick iPhone 10 pro cliff bar and the small tissues that come in a small packMy gf fits her iPhone XR and the same things I fit and a small car keyOverall it’s an amazing small pack to fit things that you NEED and to get home safeI’ve recommended this backpack to several people already and they LOVE it!

Durable, dependable, worth it!
I love using this all the time, even when I am not hiking. When I was setting up my classroom this summer in the heat, it was nice to be able to take a drink quickly and get back to work. I didn't need to stop and look for a water bottle. Its liquid really well and won't leak or break. The mouthpiece is detachable for easy cleaning. It is very durable. It is worth the price, especially if you will use it often. The only negative thing is that I wasn't sure of the best way to clean it. I use almost boiling hot water (which it can withstand) and run it through the bag and piping 2-3 times. Then I run cold water through it to cool it down. I wash the mouth piece with warm soap and water, though.Other than that, I continue to use it for various activities. I love it!

Go and buy yourself one of these camelbaks, they are fantastic!
Certainly the best running gear/gadget I have ever bought. It is comfortable to wear and easy to use while on the run. It holds 1,5l of fluids - I recommend using water only because it is a lot easier to clean as you can just rinse it, let it dry and rinse it again before using it again and it cannot go mouldy - which is enough for a 2h run, at least for me. If you go for a longer run (I run marathon distances in training), you would need to re-fill it somewhere or buy a larger hydration pack. It also has a small compartment for keys, smartphones or the odd energybar, but it doesn't hold any more than that really. I would love for that to be the case (e.g. to store a lightweight rain jacket) but I knew from the beginning that it didn't fit so I obviously can't (and won't!) complain about it. The only drawback is that it starts to smell quite quickly as you tend to sweat a lot at the upper back where you wear your camelbak. If you remove the bladder, you can, however, easily wash the hydro pack in the washing machine.Overall, it's brilliant! It's not too expensive and will definitely be worth every penny. I couldn't do without it!

Perfect for longer runs!
This hydration pack is brilliant. I read a lot of reviews of this and other brands and decided on this one.I am female, 5ft 3inches and fairly petite therefore I have narrow shoulders, and my initial concern that the pack wouldn't stay on my shoulders, but would slip off, didn't materialise. Somehow the pack stays put. It also doesn't bounce around too much when you're running. My advice would be to fill it, then carefully squeeze out as much air as possible before sealing it. This way you don't hear too much sloshing around from the water.I use it on my 5+ mile runs and it's perfect. I have used it on over 10 mile runs and when all you need is a sip of water here and there, it's ideal great.

SNOWBOARDING
Bought this for a snowboarding trip. This is small enough to wear under a jacket even fully filled which is what i wanted as i didn't like the idea of wearing a bigger pack. Only niggle is lack of chest strap but there are sewn loops in the ends of the shoulder straps so i will just use a mini caribiner to improvise one in order to make it more secure..... will be using it next week in the mountains and it looks like a really good product.

Much better than a sports bottle
Purchased as a gift, much better way to carry water when participating in a number of sports. I have seen cheaper alternatives but Camelbak are tried and trusted so went for this and not disappointed

Perfect size for running
This camelbak is a perfect size for running and removes the need to carry a water bottle with you when exercising. The pocket is not as large as imagined; you'd be able to get your keys in there but would be hard-pressed to fit a modern smartphone. Still, a phone can be slotted into the compartment that holds the liquid bladder without too much difficulty. All in all, highly recommended!
