I use these to store stem line backups of liquid culture for mushroom cultivation. Very tiny magnetic stir bar, and fill with medium before autoclaving. It's a bit trickier to get the culture in/out because it's airtight (I use jars with a filter for most liquid culture), but you get the hang of it. Crimp pretty reliably and never had any leak issues. They're also stronger than they look (but are still thin glass vials of course). If you want a carrying case, get one of those essential oil vial cases.

Thought it came with vials

Removal of the flip cap is extremely difficult to remove without tearing the entire aluminum cap assembly completely off the vial leaving the stopper precariously vulnerable to popping loose or off when using the self healing rubber stopper.

These are the worst I've ever used, they dont crimp easily and once they are on the metal always rips partially off when you remove the plastic cap. I even cut my finger on several. Buyer beware!

Should advertise that it is only the rubber stops and caps and not glass vials. I read the description over and over and it made it seem like the glass vials were included. This purchase was a total waste of my time.

These vials work great in our simulation lab. Now every student experiences how to open a vial and draw up their medication. Clean, wrapped extremely well, packaged securely ( nothing was broken) and a great deal. Can be used for SOOO many things.
