The Sound of Music - The

This is one of Rogers and Hammerstein's best musical scores. The only problem with the CD is the music is not in the proper order as in the movie. What a shame. It would have made a better listening experience. The seller was great. The CD came as advertised and the packaging was well done. I highly recommend this seller.

The glorious voice of Julie Andrews soars on this 2 CD presentation of the Grammy Award nominated movie soundtrack of "The Sound Of Music." Disc 1 is the Original 1965 movie soundtrack album, with 16 tracks sequenced as the songs appear in the movie. Disc 2 features extended versions of selected songs as heard in the film, numbers not included on the Original Soundtrack Album, and an interview with composer Richard Rodgers. Although future Soundtrack re-issues (one about every five years) would combine everything to one disc for a total of around 27 tracks, this 2 disc presentation provides a unique listening experience. The packaging, liner notes, photos, etc. are also especially nice.

This soundtrack brings back memories, not only of the film and family and friends viewing parties, but also of travel with friends on the Sound of Music site tour (in Salzburg, Austria), a trip I was fortunate enough to join!I bought this to share with my toddler and to introduce them to the wonderful music, while I wait to watch the film with her when she gets just a bit older. We haven't gotten beyond Do-Re-Mi, yet though!

My daughter loves this soundtrack as she listens to it to help her sleep at night. Thank you so much for your business!

Enjoying this classic Sound of Music music cd!We still listen to CDs around the house, andmy mother likes to listen while resting.My mother loves it, and listens to it often!She is a huge fan of Julie Andrews.

Great music from the film. Loaded with songs.

There are 31 songs on the 2 disc set. My kids love the ones where there is singing especially when the children are singing. There are a lot of just musical numbers. It's what I expected, but maybe the 24 song edition would have sufficed.

４０年前に映画館で観て、LPレコードを買って帰りました。今回のDISC１がそれにあたると思います。今回初めて、USA版を購入してみました。解説は当然英語ですし、歌詞カードがありません。まあ、歌はほとんど記憶のままでしたし、問題ありません。映画のDVDももちろん素晴らしいですが、ゆったりと聴くCDも素晴らしいです。

An excellent presentation for this double CD. My favourite the is Do-Re-Mi

このＣＤは２枚組みになっており、Disc１は有名な曲が入っており、Disc２はリーズルとロルフが歌ったあとに踊る時の曲、マリアとトラップ大佐のダンスシーンで使われた曲やナチス軍から逃げるときの曲などほかのところで使われた曲などが入っています。Disc１にはトラップ大佐とリーズルが歌うエーデルワイスは入っておらず、Disc２に入ってます。しかしこのＣＤには歌詞カードがついていません。サウンド・オブ・ミュージックで使われた曲をもっと聴きたい人にはお勧めです。
