For those large size drilling tasks Lenox is the best.
I needed to enlarge the doorknob hole in a door. Tip: first use the tool on a scrap 2x4 to create a plug that will act as a pilot guide. This plug will fit in the existing hole. Now you can accurately drill the larger hole since the outside diameter of the tool reflects the true desired size.

Only part of what you need
This single blade goes into a set of saw blades I ordered earlier (separate purchase) in a plastic case. This blade did not come with a drill bit as the others in the set did, so to use it you need the center drill attachment and a drill bit.The LENOX saw blades are stamped with their size and then painted over with white. It makes it hard to nearly impossible to find and read the size depending on where it ends up - could be on a seam, or under black paint writing added after, or if you are lucky its in a clear area and easier to find.To change the drill bit to another saw blade you need a Allen wrench, which did not come with either the set or the extra saw blade. There is a place in the set to store one. Weird.I took the biggest saw blade of the set and moved it to a tool box, then added this saw blade to the set (after moving the drill bit to it) - luckily the forms in the plastic case are forgiving and will allow this gracefully. I ended up labeling all of the saw blades once I spent the time to find their sizes.

Holy saw
I'm using this in an industrial setting and it has performed very well. Cutting holes in 1 1/4" laminated particle board work surfaces. Cuts right through many, many surfaces without becoming dull. Trying to cut down on costs, I have tried many other hole saws including the IRWIN 373212BX 2-1/2-Inch Bi-Metal Hole Saw and depending on what you're trying to cut through, it's actually a great saw. However it doesn't work for me because the ejection slot is very hard to work with, because of the depth of the surfaces I'm cutting. The "Speed Slot" ejection slots on this Lenox hole saw are invaluable for ejecting the plugs. That feature alone sells me on this saw. Some of the other saws I've tried have wobbled like a virgin's knees in a cathouse. That can become pretty dangerous and just plain no fun. I have yet to have one of these even slightly out of round. I'll continue to order these hole saws, because it seems as though it is better than any of the many others I've tried.***Wife edit-- a virgins knees? Really? Thats what comes to mind when you think of saw blades? What a weirdo.

Lenox saws are awesome!!
I have several Lenox hole saws of different sizes that I have used over the past 10 years( that is when I discovered Lenox) and I am still amazed at the steel cutters ability of these super high quality hole saws. The last one I used is a one inch diameter, it cut a hole through 3/8” angle iron AND IT IS STILL SUPER SHARP!!!Just remember 300 -400 rpm on the drill. If I could give 10 stars, I would!Worth every penny!
