Radio Controlled Silent Large LCD Wall Clock (Offical UK Version) Auto Set Up with Day Date Month Helpful for DEMENTIA & ALZHEIMER SUFFERERS (Bamboo Wood)

I have bought two for an elderly relative, and like so much I would consider buying for myself as well. The clock face is clear and easily readable, and gives the day of the week and the month in full, no abreviations.I chose this clock partly because of its attractive, non medical appearance. I have bought the wood effect, which looks to me like real wood, it is very well done; partly because of the clarity of the day of the week and the month, in full; and largely because it operates on batteries (2 AA). This means it can be placed anywhere, either discreetly, or on a dining room or bedroom table, or a kitchen surface, and can be moved around as desired. Having to plug into to a wall socket and having to fix to a wall would not have been nearly so convenient or attractive or useful.This clock has all the attributes I was looking for in an attractive and good sized product.The seller is also excellent. The clock will set itself on a radio signal correctly, but this can take a few hours. It really does adjust itself. If like me you want to see it working sooner, there is a manual option, which also works, but it seemed to activate the alarms, which wasn't required. The seller advised to take out the batteries, re-insert, and let it set itself, which solved the problem! In a few hours both clocks were working beautifully.I would thoroughly recommend both the clocks and the seller, who couldn't have been nicer or more helpful, and responded to a few of my queries within an hour or two each time. Once was just to check that if the alarm icon was not showing, this means that no alarm is set and no alarm will go off. The seller confirmed this to be correct.

Amazingly once the batteries were put in it reset itself to time, date etc in a couple of minutes, no fiddling about setting it up. Also we chose the black surround which looks very smart all the details are clear and easily read, very pleased with this purchase

Amazing item for my Nan who has memory issues. She loves this clock because at a simple glance on a sunny day she can see the day, month, year, time and temperature. The only flaw is that there is no backlight. So on a dull day it doesn’t light up so it’s hard to see. If it had the option for a small light I would have it on. This item is designed well but if it had a small light to make it easier to see would have made it perfect.I find it easy to see but my Nan sometimes has to look for a little while to make out the information, if it was lit up a quick glance would be sufficient.I’m rating this 9.5/10.I would definitely recommend this item

Just what we needed, shows all the information clearly, like that the date is displayed in the UK and not the American format and the day of the week and month are spelled out in full. On arrival, the clock took about 2 hours to connect to the atomic clock radio signal and set itself to the correct time and it altered itself automatically when DST (BST) ended. Mostly easy to read. Three improvements would be make the plastic anti-reflective to aid viewing the display when looking at the clock at certain angles, add seconds to the time display and include batteries. Doesn't matter to us that it isn't backlit. Got a discount on the normal price, as it was an open and slightly damaged box. Overall makes a good kitchen wall clock and happy with it.

The features of this clock are brilliant and I haven’t even used them all yet! The display is large and clear, making the time very easy to read. Displays the date, temperature, etc. This is a radio-controlled clock so it automatically sets itself when you insert the batteries and then keeps perfect time. The clock may need a few hours / overnight to pick up the radio signal to set the time automatically, but setup could be quicker and regardless it’s worth the wait. On top of all that, it’s a good looking clock too.

Disappointed as the display is not bold enough, it's like batteries are fading although new! I was wondering if any protective film was the issue but can't see an obvious way to find and peel off, my 10 yr old similar is much clearer to read.If it was like the photos I'd be delighted but its not.

In Covid lockdown it's been hard for me to keep track of what day it is, but I know it's been even harder for my 95 year old mum!!! This is a birthday present for her.It's EXCELLENT - the display is LARGE for the time - large enough, clear and fully spelled days and months, so she'll not lose track of what day it is ever again (I hope).I've set it for her, but from now on it should go forward or back an hour automatically in spring/autumn, and keep itself adjusted in between if it ever needs to.It DOESN'T have a backlight, so don't put it in a bedroom at night, but for her kitchen it's perfect.It's good enough for me to order one for myself - a mere youngster at 64!!

I was worried as some people said it took a while to set itself, mine set straight away. It recommended high quality batteries, I've used cheaper ones but I will happily get better ones if need be. It's a bit bigger than I thought as well which I think is good. I'm only late 40's but I constantly have to think what day of the week or date it is, I usually use the tv to check. My eyesight is still fine and the display is plenty big enough for me. This also has a thermometer on! I'm very pleased. I'm torn between wanting it in the bedroom or living room, I'm very tempted to get another one. I found it by looking for just a digital calendar. This is great. I've only had it set up a day so can't speak for it's longevity yet. But a great idea and product.
