This cooling mat arrived with lightning speed and was well-packaged. It has absolutely no odor. My 15 yo Australian Shepherd has already started feeling too hot with the arrival of warmer weather, so I got this cooling mat to put on top of his bed. I thought it was going to be a tad too big, but it fits perfectly! It's definitely cool and I don't doubt that it will help him feel better. While he hasn't taken to it yet, but I'm sure he will soon enough. He used to have one when we lived in Florida, which he used all the time, but after about 5 years, it got a tiny tear, and the gel started to leak out. This mat has a thick outer cover, which makes it very durable and not prone to damage that will lead to leaks. I highly recommend this cooling mat!

We have a 10 year old Yorkie/Rat Terrier female. Since the Covid pandemic we have spent a lot of time being in bed watching TV or reading and she has become very clingy, wanting us with her most of the time. I bought this mat to use as a cooling mat but it has been so beneficial to keep her calm more so than cool. If we are not in bed with her she will find us and whine until we put her mat down, then she jumps on the bed, straight to her mat and goes to sleep. Perfectly content. During the hot summer months it is used for cooling and works very well. It sometimes takes a bit longer to cool down after she's been on it for a while so I fold it and place it in the freezer for about 10 minutes and it cools right down. Am very happy with this purchase, it has held up well and is easy to wipe down with a damp cloth

This does stay cool and has some weight to it. The only issue is my dog likes cozy and comfy. I wish it came with some type of cover. Overall, worth the extra cost to keep my dog cool so she can stay asleep.

I bought this cooling mat for my dog when we had several days over 90°F. I am happy with its design and functionality. It's fairly flat but comfortable. The cooling feature is activated by pressure. I have read that cooling a dog's pads (on their feet) is good way to help them cool down. My dog used this mat for a while, but stopped when it wasn't quite as hot outside. I have tested it out myself by putting my bare feet on it while sitting on the couch, and it works great. If your dog likes to dig/scratch a lot, it could potentially rip. My dog like to dog before she lays down, but so far, she hasn't done that with this mat. Also, it would be very easy to clean if something got spilled on it. Very slick, nylon-like material.

The quality is so amazing and it’s a nice size for my puppy, it really does stay nice and cool I put my hands on it when I got it and it did not get warm at all. I really do recommend buying this !! I loved it and my puppy loved it WAYYY more than me because he decided to play with it and chew on it😁.

I researched quite a bit before deciding to make this purchase and was finally convinced to do so by the number of positive reviews. We are in Hawaii and my pup can often be found laying on the hard tile to keep cool. I'd hoped this pad would give him more cushion while helping him to keep cool and comfortable year round. I was less than impressed by the material of the pad, it's very thin and I could not easily get him to lie on it. He did not like the slick plastic feel of the material. I continued to bring it to each room with us as I moved through the house for the next week or so, and covered it with a thin pillow case. I was ready to put it back in the box for a return when he decided that he wants to keep it. It took him some time to get used to, but now he chooses to sleep on it and it does feel cool. Overall, I give it 3 stars. I feel that at $50, it is priced too high and the gel pad is too thin. He deserves more comfort.6/16/24 *Follow Up Review*Ultimately, this pad did find a permanent placement at the far corner of my bed and my pup if often found there, cooling his underside. I still agree with my original review, but overall I am happy with the purchase. Placing it on the bed provides him with a comfortable and cool spot to relax.

Good for the money, my dog loves to use it everyday even in the colder months. He has a choice to lay on his dog bed with or without it and typically chooses the one with it. He’s a 35 lb Aussie

This crazy heatwave has no end in sight and I was looking for ways to help my dog cool off. This gel cooling mat is amazing. The gel is pressure activated, so it starts working when my dog lays on it. I laid my tummy on it to try it and I can really feel it working. The gel seems to work by absorbing heat away from the body. It cools consistently for 3hours before needing to recharge, which is just leaving it alone for 15-20minutes. My dog is a lounger and takes pretty quickly to any bed or blanket. That said, he sniffed this mat a while before rolling and laying on it. It took a couple more days for him to understand that laying on it helps him cool down. Now he makes a beeline to lay on the mat after walks. I kind of wish it came with a storage pouch, but I think the box is better to protect it from being scratched or punctured when not in use. My dog is happy so I am happy!
