Poor tech support
Nice looking units but very very hit and miss. Speeds really varies and not to any particular time or day. Even resetting the units and few times it still didn't improve. Won't recommend this product. Tech support was extremely poor and unhelpful.

Its so simple and solid
Cheap is not always best. Neither is expensive. I have a large barn conversion. Tried all kinds of kit. Powerplugs, extenders you name it. I bought 5 of these, a 3 and a 2 pack. Plugged them in scattered them around the house. Full speeds in every room and corner. Same speed as a directly connectes PC! As they say Keep It Simple Stupid. Also all my Ewelink devices came back on line. I have 25. Sweet.

Worth it for the price
UPDATE BELOWThe item itself is very discrete. Simple setup through the web browser and with the use of the pairing buttons on the mesh points, with an ethernet going from my main router in one of the nodes I was up and running within 10 mins. Mercusys is TP-Link's sub brand for those who do not know. They share the same web UI, warranty and customer service however the features are quite lacking which is why I gave 4 stars.Pros:- Strong signal between Nodes- Seamless node switching without any hiccups.- Can choose Wi-fi channels- Achieves near full speeds on nodes far away. I use to get 2mbps, the same spot gets 40mbps now.Cons:- A lot of features stripped away compared to TP-link I guess that's why it is cheaper.- Speeds struggle to ramp up compared to standard Wi-Fi router, this is only when I use speed test websites.- The biggest con has to be there being no wired backhaul option. I am not sure why this was stripped out which is usually the standard. Meaning that nodes can only communicate with each other through wireless.Overall great mesh system, has been stable for over a week now. However the option of no Ethernet back-haul can be a deal breaker for many which I was not aware of.UPDATE:Just after one month the product has begun to become unstable. If one of the node become busy the main node begins to prioritise it and the devices connected to main node just do not receive internet connection.I've also begun to reboot the product few times after hitting the one month mark. I recommend to turn on the auto reboot feature, which does it at a selected time.

Suberb mesh system
Suberb mesh system. Works floorlessly. I have 4 nodes in total covering the whole house, not a dead spot in sight.Easy to manage devices, diagnostic tools, it allows roaming between nodes so it switches flawlessly.I read some of the reviews which say they couldn't get them to work or couldn't connect to website..... all I can suggest is read the instructions, very simple to set up.

Better signal strength from Hub3
Bought to improve the range from my Virgin Hub 3.Virgin we’re no help when I reported that although my house is small the signal strength from the router to just outside was pitiful.Their reply was to pay monthly for boosters.Saw an add on Amazon for their Eero router for £60 but ended up purchasing a pair of these Halo S12’s for £20.Setup was a bit of a faf. Yes there are videos on YouTube but not exactly for the Virgin Hub3 and these. Turning the router into modem mode was easy enough but configuring these was a little tiresome. One done they do work and I now have an average signal throughout the property. They do give a slower output speed than the Hub3 up close on its own but they more than make up for this in range. It would be nice if the power plugs had a through socket as they tie up two more plug sockets in the house but for £20 I suppose you can’t have everything.Would I recommend? YES.

Just couldn't get this thing working
The 2 stars for this are because it was delivered quickly and in theory should be a great product that's easy to set up. Some people have found this, but looking at the reviews it would appear that a lot of people had issues with setting up, and that was the case for me.I went through the instructions, checked several youtube videos, tried several different network cables, reset everything several times and switched things on in every conceivable order, and after about 2 hours had to wave the white flag and send it back for a refund.
