I love this thing. The magnets aren't strong enough to hold it up on a vertical surface, but it works great on the shelf top. Super bright light and the arm extends far enough out so you can see the whole grill (I have a 4 burner).

A perfectly designed gas-grilling accessory!. Works fine right out of the box, with sufficient lighting to let you work comfortably in the dark. There's no sensible place to actually clamp it onto my Weber Grill, but it is heavy enough, and the magnetic base is plenty strong enough, to hold it very securely to the steel side-tables with no shaking whatsoever. The steel wand that holds the light is long and flexible, to let you illuminate any part of the grilling surface without fear of inadvertently clobbering the lamp when raising or lowering the grill cover. And, there's no danger of destroying this lamp by leaving it on while grilling wth the grill cover down-- as I did with Brookstone's idiotically-designed, easily-meltable, plastic-lens-covered grilling light .I'm so pleased with my Oasity BBQ light that I've already bought two more -- one for each son-in-law!

It's so hard to find well thought out products - and this isn't one of them. The concept seemed great - an LED light for those nights when you want to be out BBQing. I knew the clamp wouldn't work on our particular pit but was looking forward to the magnetic feature to keep the light where it was needed.The good news is the light itself is bright and so far, with several hours of BBQing, we haven't gone through a set of batteries. The bad news is the design of this product is terrible. The base is awkward and top heavy so the magnets have no chance of securing it anywhere. It won't even stand up on its own so you have to lay it on it's side and bend the light up, losing a lot of length and versatility.It's paid for and we'll use it for now (I don't have anything better) but I wouldn't buy this again and will continue looking for a better option.

Most grill light clamp onto the grill handle. That would be fine if they were impervious to extreme heat, but they're not and melt after a period of time. Makes no sense. This light on the other hand makes perfect sense. With its long flexible arm and heavy magnetic base, you can position it off to the side away from the heat. The magnets are very strong and work great (which I was a bit skeptical of when I ordered it, but figured I'd just use the clamping feature if they didn't, but the magnets make it very convenient and easy to position wherever you need it). It is high quality construction (I accidentally left it out in the rain one night - no problem!). Bravo!

Works great, clamping option is what I use the most. The magnets not as much due to the lack of SS in the metal surfaces near the grill.

All though this light is more expensive than most, it is truly worth the extra expense. It is very well made and the magnets are quite strong and hold it securely to the side shelf on my Weber gas grill. The magnets make it easy to remove when I am done grilling and I can remove the light to a dry location and keep it out of the weather. The neck is very flexible and holds its position and the light is very bright. I don't usually review products but I thought I would take the time because this is truly a 5 star product.

The magnets are useless. The lamp is too heavy and it slides right off any metal surface I try to stick it to. Which is a shame because otherwise, it is a very good product. The only reason I don't return it is because it does have a clamp too.

I bought this for use later this year when the days are short. Tried it out, and the light is very bright. The flexible neck is long, so you can position this anywhere and still light the cooking surface. I have an older Weber gas grill, and the magnetic base sticks just about anywhere. I used the clamp for a permanent mount to the side table of the grill. I can coil up the neck so the light is out of the way when not in use and it fits under the grill cover.
