Great starter set. Kids have had lots of fun learning how locks work and have had a lot of success picking real padlocks following a bit of practice.

I bought this when it was reduced to twenty pounds. The wallet and the contained set of pick items are all perfectly good quality. The pouch is a little larger than I expected but I can’t list this as a complaint. I was expecting the type of smallish wallet you see people using in the movies whereas this is something that would totally fill a rear jeans pocketI’ve only had a quick play so far on the practice padlock and within 2 minutes or so I did get it open. I have yet to try it on a “real” lock but the picks totally feel up to the job. Big selection, they feel comfortable/grippy, and they seem thinnit strong enough to do the job.It comes with some instructions but these were near to useless. But I know there are lots of YouTube videos properly explaining who to learn from these types of kits so the poor instructions did not warrant knocking off a star. It feels like a good value kit and each of the 4 practice locks come in a nice separate plastic case. For twenty quid think of it as a fun set of puzzles but you develop some skills that may one day really help you out.

I purchased this lock picking set just for wanting something to do, & this is a bit different, & you never know if or when this skill can come in handy!It arrived speedily, which was great, & with all the lock picking tools needed to pick the locks. The locks included in this set are transparent, so this enables you to see what you are doing inside the lock as you attempt to pick it, which is really helpful.So far I've managed to pick 2 of the locks, but the other 2 I just cannot seem to do!I'd say this is a good kit for beginners with an interest in learning how to pick locks, & practising, & its deffo a boredom buster for in the lockdown!

I have always wanted to learn how to pick a lock as I am always forgetting/losing my keys.This set comes with lots of different tools which is great to find the sort of tool you find that works best for you. The clear locks provided give you a good understanding of how the lock works and gives you a good grounding of how to pick locks and was really good to have different types as you need to pick them slightly differently. There a plenty of videos on youtube that will teach you how to pick..I found being able to see the pins really helped my progress to understand how much pressure I needed to put. After a very short time I was able to consistently pick the clear locks, I then moved on to trying to find any padlock I could find and although normal padlocks I found were more difficult as different locks require different pressure and techniques but I was able to undo all the padlocks with a bit of perseverance. (the more you practice the better you get).I then moved on to the back door which after about 20mins of picking worryingly I found I could pick the lock reliably in under 20 seconds. The picking tools come in a nice little wallet, everything is really good quality.

Nothing wrong with the tools, reasonable value there, but the training locks are very low quality and they almost pick themselves. The amount of play in them is ridiculous and you can pick most of them by moving just 2 or 3 pins, or just wiggle the pick around randomly and it opens.

We received present, every one has been interested in this. Explains a lot about how locks work (little bit of a aha moment)Most of the people who have played with it have been able to understand and come to grips with it, with a little explanation. Although the instructions/lack of are not great, so looked up on line first to understand the process. However no one has been willing to try out their learning an actual lock, just in case they end up needing to call an actual locksmith!

Excellent for beginners and good value.

Great fun for beginners. Lots for the money. It's suspiciously easy to 'pick' the supplied locks and it soon becomes apparent that quality locks are a different prospect all together. Never the less, it's a good starting point for anyone interested in locksport and hours of fun for anyone that wants a go. People always do when they see you messing with it!
