These worked well for our top-loading water bottle ice maker. The plastic piece sometimes pops into the bottle when loading, but this is a minor issue. Be sure not to overtighten because they fit firmly.

I took my ice maker camping for the first time this weekend and used a one gallon jug on top for the water supply. It would have been messy without this to top the jug. I discovered I didn’t need to take the paper cover off the lid as there is an adapter peg that will push athe hole open. I could leave the ice maker on for a couple of hours without worrying that it would run dry and knowing this adapter was helping to hold the water jug in place without a mess.

These caps saved my floor and walls from water splatters every time a bottle was changed. I replaced all of the original caps so that when I take the bottles to refill, they no longer leak when they roll around in the trunk. These are for screw-top bottles, and coolers with a probe. When you invert the bottle onto the cooler, the probe pushes the plug open to allow the water to flow in. They are a tight fit, and the first one I used cracked from the center out to the edge, possibly because I screwed it on too tightly. The plug is supposed to stay anchored by a ring in the center of the cap, and once it worked its way loose and floated in the water until I changed the bottle and fished it out. This was not a big deal, but the crack probably will allow a leak. I haven't tightened the others as tightly and they've been fine. The only other disadvantage is that they are almost twice the price on Amazon as on another site. I love these caps because they keep the water from spilling. This is a nice addition to any ice maker or water cooler if you have to top load the bottle.

I had assumed that my bottles were 55mm. Purchased and was incorrect. After measuring I found out that the were indeed 48mm. FYI these bottles are from Lowes and Walmart and are marked Primo Bottles. I had gone on their site and they said the were 55 which is why I did not bother to measure. Perfect fit. Do not worry about the inner cap, It will float around the bottle until its empty. When changing the bottle reattach the inner cap for the next "flip" this will ensure that you have no leaking when changing the bottle.

No more trying to flip the bottle fast enough so none spills. These work! One in a while the little flip part will come loose and float after we get the bottle on but that is no problem.
