MusicNomad Premium Truss Rod Wrench - 5mm for Martin Guitars (MN236)

Works as it Should! Martin sent a hex key with Dreadnaught Series guitar but that key was too short to get the job done. Truss Rod wrench went deep enough into the hole to make a solid and firm contact with the female hex nut , it was a Happy ending! The strings are in perfect relief! I am very satisfied with the quality of the wrench. It fits perfectly in the storage compartment of the Guitar case without interfering with other items. Good value, perfect size.

The most common of the hex-style truss rod seatings are 4mm and 5mm. These are nice tools and are much more easier to use than the typical short-handled allen wrench that ships with most new guitars. MusicNomad seems to be attempting to simplify the DIY process with many of their new tools. Their efforts are much appreciated. I purchased both the 4mm and the 5mm.

This one fits my Martin truss rod. Well made, accurate size and length for access. This brand produces some quality tools at a good price point.

This is a great neck adjusting tool for Martin guitar.

It's the right tool for the job if you want to make adjustments to the trussrod and your guitar needs a 5mm wrench. There are plenty videos from the manufacturer and others on how to use this, so be sure to check those out. Small increments are the trick. Tip: before inserting this through your sound hole, cover the edge facing the bridge/saddle with a folded cloth (like an old t-shirt) to prevent any damage. In one of the videos they warn about this, but don't suggest this simple solution.

Perfect tool, for sure, just the right size, (though i thought it would be bigger). Having the handle makes it very comfortable to use versus a normal 5mm L shaped Allen Wrench.

Works great! It's a perfect fit. The handle is comfortable even when applying a lot of force. So far it seems to be unbendable. I recommend this wrench!

Used on a Martin DRS2. Does exactly what it's intended for, but make sure your guitar actually has a 5mm truss rodd hole (not every Martin does).
