These work very well, even if you have little or no experience with using decorating tips. Just trim the tip of a disposable pastry bag or plastic storage bag, drop in your choice of decorating tip inside and push it down into the opening until it's held securely in place by the plastic. Add your frosting, twist the top of the bag, squeeze gently, and GO!Just don't make the mistake I did. You do NOT use a coupler with these tips. I wasn't paying attention when I ordered this set, and ordered a giant coupler to use with them. The tips didn't fit in the coupler. I went crazy looking through my daughter's supply of couplers, and none of the were the right size. I thought all was lost until I did some research and discovered you don't USE a coupler with these tips. Not "you don't NEED a coupler," "you don't USE a coupler" AT ALL.Duh. Now they work!

Before I write another word, YOU DO NOT NEED A COUPLER WITH THESE! I looked into getting couplers but you really do not need them. Alright, for anyone who reads my reviews you know I don't write a review for every product I buy, but I do write them for products of great quality or when the service or product sucks. This product does NOT suck, nor did the delivery. Let's start there, and I can be brief, the tips are well packaged and while it is just a little cardboard box, it is still a nice box, I have kept the tips in it for storage. I received the tips promptly and in great condition.Now for the tips. I have noticed over the years some tips which I considered to be good were a little thin, i.e. the metal used was able to hold the shape but you could without a lot of effort distort them. Granted with these I could distort them but it would take some added effort, in other words they are made of good quality material. They are exactly as advertised. I used them for the first time the other night and if you know how to apply frosting you will not be disappointed.One last note, if you do not know how to apply frosting, Love2Bake has some very nicely done instructional videos. While I can get the job done, I don't mind watching for tips, what they can show you will in fact help you along if you needed.

You'll save the cost on the very first dozen cupcakes you DON'T buy from some yuppie empty-nester.Trust me.

So far I have only used this set once, with that being said, they certainly do the job! Makes decorating simple and quick, easy to clean up and they appear to be very durable! If I could make a suggestion, I would love to see the set with piping bags that fit them. And would be willing to pay for that sort of inclusive set.

I purchase these piping tips after a friend recommended them, and they are truly fantastic. I really enjoy baking, but am much better at the taste component as opposed to the artistry of it. These piping tips make it easy for anyone to look like they are a skilled decorator! In the attached photo you can see some cupcakes I frosted using three of the different piping tips, and this was only my 4th or 5th time using them, so still definitely a novice!

Perfect for making more professional looking cupcakes. I'm just a home baker, but these were fun to use for my kids' birthday cupcakes. I also bought an extra-large coupler and a large silicone pastry bag, and it worked perfectly. I did have to cut the tip off the pastry bag to fit the larger tips, but I wouldn't use that large size bag for making smaller decorations anyway.

I love these tips! I am not a novice baker but not a professionally trained baker, either - these tips work great for the cupcakes I make to order for friends and family. The tip openings are wide enough to easily clean after use. They work great with "real" icing bags and plastic zip bags too. The only thing that would make these tips better is a storage case - the come in a small cardboard box.
