Have been ordering these coffee beans for months.....
We love the quality of these coffee beans. We have been ordering these for many months now, and have only not liked one of the packages of coffee beans. Very fresh-- everyone in the family enjoys this very much. We have even reordered one of the types of coffee beans twice. It's always a nice surprise to see what each shipment will bring.

To expensive
Good coffee but to expensive for what you get

Hit or miss (mostly a miss)
I subscribed for 6 months. Out of the 6 bags of coffee I received, I only really enjoyed one of them, which was a Brazilian dark roast with low acidity and some lovely aromas. The most of the coffee beans I received were light/medium roast with high acidity—tons of cream and sugar couldn’t even mask the awful flavor. The 3 bags that are unfinished are going into the compost pile.

Delish
When I started grinding my own beans, I was blown away by how much better my coffee tasted. Now that I've tasted freshly roasted beans, it's like coffee has reached a new level for me. I love this coffee subscription. For a long time, I was devoted to Starbucks' Kenyan and Yukon whole bean coffees. Not only do Bean Box's freshly roasted coffees beat out anything Starbucks has on offer, it's so nice to experience variety. And great too that I can go on Bean Box's website and order a bag of a particular roast I enjoyed in my subscription. The price may seem high to some, but if you have a discerning coffee palate, I think you'll find that you're getting what you pay for. I highly recommend this subscription. One bag per month is perfect for a single gal like me, but others in a 2+ person household which drinks coffee daily will find that they go through a single bag quickly. If you're part of a larger household, I recommend going on the Bean Box website and looking at all the various subscription options.

“Delicious coffee,” they say.
This started as a simple, few months trial, gift to my son and his wife. It sounded ideal for the coffee snobs they’ve become. And so it proved.I’ve tried several times to get them to admit it’s just coffee so I could cancel the subscription. (Very pricey coffee, did I mention?)But they almost grovel, dropping compliments about how much they enjoy, how they anticipate the next delivery. Sigh.So I’ve ordered a subscription for the light roast bean box as well. It’s only money.

Seriously?
Small, independent roasters and other start-ups find ways to deliver fresh, whole bean artisan coffee for less than $15 per pound. Amazon can't compete on price?

AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!
Receiving my heavenly Bean Box order every month is a delightful treat, a gift to myself. It's always fresh and delicious and I love the unique descriptions of the coffee, not to mention the treat! BeanBox, you're doing it right!

Coffee arrived stale
I love the concept of this box. One of the best parts of my trip to the PNW was trying different roasters, so I liked that I could relive that experience at home. The only issue is that it took over eight days to arrive from roasting. By the time it arrived to me, the premium coffee had lost its luster. It might be fine if you live on the West coast. For the rest of us, just stick with your local roaster.

Not enough beans
Small batch, but not a small cost. Do some comparison shopping before you lose on this 'deal'.

Amazon - you should be ashamed of yourselves.
Living in NorCal (basically, the Land of Amazon Prime) our community house goes through serious amounts of coffee - so we were intrigued to see a subscription service offered by Amazon. Having read the fine print - this is absolutely f*$%ing insane. A 12-ounce bag of coffee, once monthly, for $26? Outrageous! The (swanky, organic, locally roasted, totally hipster) shop on our corner pioneered the 12-ounce bag (which is already annoying) and they only charge $14.99 for it. WHY WOULD ANYONE EVER DO THIS? On all levels (carbon footprint, financial spend, etc) this is the most wasteful thing we've seen. C'mon Amazon - you can do better.

Too expensive!
Disappointing subscription. You get a small whole bean bag for $26! Coffee is okay, not incredible or as good as you would expect for the price. Also, it wasn't easy to figure out how to cancel my subscription (e.g. couldn't do it from my phone). Great idea, poor execution.

Favorite Brewing method is pour over Chemex
The reviews that are 5 star saying they are coffee snobs can't possibly be. You get 12 ounces per month. For $26. Do the math. I go through about 12 oz is a week. This is a horribly unsustainable I don't care who their beans are from. These boxes no matter of their coffee clothing or booze or any number of other things have gotten out of control and overpriced.
