Visually stunning and very interesting
I have many books on sailing and yachting on my bookshelf, including dozens of coffee table books. This one is the best by far. Its photography is stunning, capturing the essence of sailing. But this is not just a coffee table book. It covers a variety of topics of interest to the yachtsman - forty-seven to be exact. I particularly enjoyed reading about the following: sensations: perfect control, lapses in taste: what you should avoid, technique: the missed maneuver, yacht clubs: where everything begins, teak and varnished wood: can you do without them?, J Class yachts: delusions of grandeur, GPS: the ocean on screen, Chris-Craft and Riva motor boats: beautiful machinery, Olin Stephens: the man who designed boats, Swan yachts: the aristocrats of the sea, Fastnet: a lighthouse, a rock, a race, Newport: the power and the glory, Porto Cervo: the meeting place of who's who and a taste of the ocean: cruising adventures. This is a perfect gift for the yachtsman. And it is a keeper.

Not worth the money.
I purchased this book only to find the book is, well lets just say, definately not worth the money. The reading is very basic with nothing to the context and the quality of the pictures are rubbish. Total waste of money.
