I have to repair the elastic strap but that was to be expected with what my son who is USMC was doing at the time. Minor fix to make it stronger. They were dirty and he beat the snot out of them but they held up.

I gave this 5 star rating originally the first week I used them. But 3 weeks later I got an email from this vendor today to put a positive comment on here for this product. Instead I will update why Too bad set I cant rate these 2.5 stars instead of 2 stars. This set is good at least for being under $20. Two days after using these knee pads the back of both my knee joints had cuts from the straps. Very uncomfortable and painful. But that is the price I had to pay to make sure these pads didn't move or drop below my knee as I was pedaling. My solution was put on bandages with good adhesive and the straps rubbed against the bandages instead, problem solved! Next I had issues with the quality of the materials for both knee pads and elbow pads. I took photos to make it easier to see what I mean. One of the knee pads has a faulty stitching in tightness to keep the bracket in place. So when I put the strap thru the eyelet of the bracket, the bracket moves in a very weird position. Unlike the other knee pad that just stays in the same position. Both elbow pads have defective sewing on the Velcro part of the strap. The second day I was trying to remove the Velcro apart to remove from my arm, the stitching began to come off on the corner. So I Gorilla glued the Velcro straps to the band and let it dry overnight. I now just leave the Velcro strapped and slip in the elbow pad on. I adjust the elbow pad strap if it needs to be adjusted tighter or looser. I rather keep this set of knee pads and elbow pads for protection. If this company was nearby I would return for a exchange. But I think this type of stitching and quality isn't going to be much better at this price. Since I am forgiving of all the faults of the quality built into this product. I am willing to keep them and use them. I am being honest so others can determine if they want to try to these or maybe find another pair elsewhere. On a positive note: These pads do seem strong enough to break a persons fall. At least in terms of injury if the user falls on the plastic part of the pads. I don't know for sure, but the plastic does seem high impact enough for someone 200 lbs. Also I wish there was a direction on how to place these on your knees. The elbow pads are exact on both ends, so it can go on either way. But the knee pads are rounded on one end and flat on the other. I tried both ways and the straps still rub on the bandages during pedaling. Update one month later worn 4 times in one month: The stitching is beginning to unravel near the Velcro. I glued around the Velcro originally when I got these after my first ride. As you see from the more recent 2 photos I am providing. This knee pad set isn't so good to order for even less than $20. I will need to find another set somewhere soon! Update: 8/17/2016. I tossed these out a month or two after my last review of these pads. The straps kept cutting into the back of my knees even when I used bandages. If I put them on too loose, they would fall below my knees while I was riding. I purchased a much better set of pads for the same price!

I needed these for a recent four day AR-15 course followed by a two tactical shotgun course. The shooting lanes are gravel at Front Sight so these knee and elbow pads were a great asset and saved not only my knees and elbows but my clothing covering these areas. I would not hesitate to recommend or purchase these for family or friends.

its ok they are comfortable but the metal pins that hold the plastic plate are almost useless i tested them and one of the metal pins came off and is not going back on

Good product as advertised, If you have large arms you may end up using the knee pads as elbow pads, I only need elbow pads so it worked out ok.

Not bad colour is terrible but hat a $3 fix with some spray paint. They don't slide around to much which is hat i really like about them.

Velcro strap tore off on the first use. Unfortunate because they are good size, and low price. They did ship fast and accept the return quickly, but velcro strap stitching obviously low quality.

This product worked great!I bought it for paintball activities and it served it's purpose very well.
