Stunning dress for an AMAZING price!
First let me say that I can't believe I got this dress for less than $40! It's beautiful, the quality is great, and it looks much more expensive!GETTING THE RIGHT FIT: I'll start with the fit. It should be known that the dress is in UK sizes which run smaller than US sizes. So if you wear a US 8 you will probably go up a size or two in UK sizes. READ THE SIZE CHART! I made the mistake initally and had to return a dress. Once I realized it was UK sizes I ordered according to the size chart and the dress fit perfectly!COLOR: I bought the deep purple color. It is STUNNING! I don't think the computer monitor does it justice.DRESS DETAILS: This dress is very flattering on all body types. I think it looks best with a petticoat. I ordered a 26 inch one and it gives it a very nice flare. The bust detail is perfect and very flattering on large busts. I don't love my arms but I found the sleeve placement was flattering and didn't hit in a weird place like cap sleeves tend to do. The dress can be worn with a belt or without. I opted to go without because I think the line is so gorgeous. I am 5'5" and with a petticoat the dress hits below the knees. The fabric is thick and good quality. For the price I expected a much thinner and low quality product. I am seriously stunned at how they can make such a nice dress so cheap. I would love to have several different colors. I actually ordered and returned 3 dresses before finally getting this one and falling in love. I'm wearing it to a wedding in April and I think it will be perfect!

This dress fits like a glove
Ordered a small. I'm 5' 105lb. Dress comes down to mid-lower calf. This dress fits like a glove. I mean, there is no room for error here. My measurements were almost exactly that of the small size, and I had a little trouble slipping into the dress, but once I got it on, it fit near-perfectly. The one thing that needed to be altered was the breast area. As small woman, I don't have very large breasts, so the breast area puffed out and would not lay flat. I remedied this by altering the straps by an inch (give or take) each, combined with a well-supporting bra, and it fits very well!Mobility in the dress is very good, so if you need to buy a dress for a dance, or (like me) a performance gig where you need the air, you'll do fine in this one. But again, note that the sizing is very exact, so DO NOT GO A SIZE DOWN or you won't have room to breathe. Combined with the petticoat, I can breathe comfortably, but it gets slightly tight after a dance session. The material isn't very stretchy either, so don't count on that.Over all, it's a very nice dress. A little long for me, considering my height, but still very good.

Beautiful dress. Order one size up!
I fell in love with this dress from the moment I saw it online. I took the advice of other reviewers and ordered 1 size up. It fits me perfectly. The purple color is so rich and beautiful. I love the vintage look, and it is sexy while not being too revealing which is great in my opinion. I have 2 problems with the dress however. 1) The length is awkward. It hits me mid-shin. I am going to have to have it shortened before I will feel comfortable wearing it out. But that's an easy fix. 2) The material is a bit corse. It is absolutely not a deal breaker because the dress is so pretty. But it might be uncomfortable for some women.Overall I would recommend this dress! You rarely see dresses these days with a beautiful 1950-1960's flare and sass like this dress has!

Casual party dress, exactly as pictured
This dress is beautiful! I'm 5'4", 112 lbs, with a slight frame. I normally wear a size 0 or 2, so I ordered the XS and the S. Both fit snugly, but the S gave me a little bit of room to breathe and that was my preference. If you're ordering, go with a size larger than you normally wear, but if it's not available, you'll be fine with the smaller size. The bust is a bit large for someone my size (I'm small in that area) but nothing a padded bra didn't fix. Nice length, almost to the knee. Very full, no need for a petticoat. It's cotton, so it's only a 3 season wear, not anything you can wear in the winter because it just doesn't look right! I would consider this a dress for church, a casual bridal shower, or a fun party during the day or summer night. Not for a formal occasion, due to the fabric being cotton. It wrinkles, but iron it and use spray starch.

Runs small; somewhat see-through; decent shape.
Not quite as good quality as I wanted it to be, considering the other reviews. I got a medium (5'6", about 150 lbs) and it was far too snug on me. I ended up returning it as it was intended for Halloween but didn't fit. The garment is well put together but it is quite thin -- I bought the orange colour and I would have had to wear a slip underneath it to prevent the world from seeing my knickers. Also, be aware that in order for it to poof out a lot like many skirts did in the 50s, you'll need to purchase a good deal of tulle. It does appear to have plenty of give to poof out, though. The skirt came to about my knees. The bust part sat a little weird on me (may have been because it was a touch too small). The seam where the bust detail ends was higher up on my bust, instead of sitting down right along the bra line where the underwire would be. Although it did make my boobs look good. It does seem to run a bit small. Not a terrible garment but I'm not 100% sure it's worth $26. Good for a costume or dress-up reason, but I wouldn't wear it as an every day dress.
