FoxX Holsters New Ruger Security 9 in The Waistband Hybrid Holster Tuckable, Concealed Carry Gun Holster

I usually buy good, name brand holsters but I could not find one readily available for a Ruger Security 9. I took a chance and picked this one up after reading some reviews. I have to say I am very impressed. It is very well made and has very good retention on the pistol. The couple of "off brand" IWB holsters I've tried in the past were ok at best because of two things. First, cheap crappy leather. Second and most important, not having good retention. I have both Crossbreed and Galco King Tuk holsters (same style as this one) that I love... this one is every bit as good. Break in took a few days to get rid of the typical squeaks and noises, but once broken in it is noise free and extremely comfortable. Especially for this sized pistol.

I could have trimmed it to fit the shape of the gun, but that is something you shouldn't have to do with a "made for your gun" holsterI have a beretta hybrid holster for my 92fs, and that is the standard of which I judge all other holsters. The foxx holster was way larger, for a smaller gun. more thought needs to go into this holster, as it is just not a good fit. take some of the excess size out of it and I think you'd have a usable well priced holster.

This holster is great, it is missing retention so you get this by tightening your belt a little to help keep the firearm in place. I would reccomend not doing back flips while carrying with this holster as the gun will slip out easily but for every day carry with quick deploy it is a great holster. The Leather is soft and has a rough texture on the back, it gets warm and becomes a little playable at the end of the day. On hot days the it became itchy on my skin, these are not complaints about this holster just about leather backing in general.Overall great holster for a newer gun that has little support, I would love to see this with adjustable retention and loops to accommodate wearing it out side waste band as well as an integrated mag pouch. Excellent IWB holster for the Ruger Security 9. The break in period was fast, just a few days. A perfect fit for the Sec 9 with good retention. I'm a slender guy at 5'10" 135lb and have no problems at all with concealment. The leather is very comfortable against bare skin, no hot spots, or chaffing. Solid American made product, highly recommended. Check out their website as well, lots of colors and options.

Perfect Fit for the Security-9. Retention is good enough that you can turn it over and lightly shake it and the pistol stays put. The leather back is probably a little bit too wide/tall, but it’d be easy enough to trim if it really bothered me (it doesn’t). For the price you just can’t come close to this. I’ve paid 2x as much for holsters in the past that weren’t as well made as this one.

Beware...This is a BIG holster. Much larger then any other CC holster I have. It fits my weapon well and the draw is smooth. Other then the size, I like the holster.

Leather on the inside of the holster makes for a quiet entry and exit. Very nice.

I have tried lots of different holsters and have sweat issues with them all. This one is amazing!!!! The only holster I use that is truly concealed for this large frame gun. And I have zero sweat issues (that result in rust).
