Bailey of Hollywood Men's Mannesroe

So not my first Bailey's hat. They are fantastic hats that I get a lot of compliments on. Its a little tighter on my head than I'd like at first, but it does have give/stretch to it, so it is not uncomfortable or anything. I wasn't expecting the stretchy-ness or the bit of space in the weaving, The material is polypropylene (which is a type of plastic) which had I known this I'd probably not have purchased it, and rather have gotten something more organic, but it matches my 1920's suit really really well. And the material makes it extremely light weight, and water proof (other than the tiny holes in it, but so far my head has stayed dry, but i've not spent too much time standing around to fully test that). The rim can be bent and moved around to however you like it. I like to bend mine down on the front and up on the back so on the sides is more flat.

For some reason, Bailey of H decided after several years to change the color and pattern schema for these hats. That's really too bad. I owned several of the previous versions in which the brim was a solid Navy instead of this "pebblestoned" white and a blue that's almost black instead of Navy. which this version is. I also loved the solid Navy blue version of the hat. Whenever I wore either of these earlier styles, I received "nice hat!" from strangers on a regular basis. That doesn't happen with this style. If they don't bring back the old styles, I probably won't buy another Mannesroe from them. But I hope Bailey reps are reading these reviews and bring back the classic designs next year cuz if it ain't broke, guys, you don't need to fix it!

This paticular hat is unique, with added class at it's finest. You can dress up, or down with it, and still be an absolute show stopper. It's light weight, & a summer item for sure. If you're a hat man, it is a collection topper.

My husband has a big head and it fit him perfectly. He loves this hat!

Comfortable. Breathable. Foldable. And I get compliments everywhere I go. Love this hat.

I've bought a few Bailey hats, and this one is consistent with the rest. A good fit, modern style...It's a polypropelyne "straw" weave, so the build is tight and probably computer-driven, leading to a reliable product. My only (minor) complaint is that the centre crease is a bit deeper than expected, so the hat sits slightly higher than I'm used to. It's a 2" brim, but seems to visually extend further than my other 2" fedoras. A great hat for a great price.It arrived quickly, well-boxed with lots of packing for safety.

Der Hut wirkt bestens verarbeitet, das Material haltbar.Freue mich schon, ihn im nächsten Sommer häufiger zu tragen.Die Preise scheinen je nach Größe stark zu schwanken, habe ihn vor einigen Wochen hier unter 20€ bekommen.Mehr hätte ich auch nicht bezahlen wollen, aber er unterscheidet sich deutlich von Hüten der niedrigeren Preisklasse,das Kunststoff-Material scheint auch relativ flexibel.Der Hut würde mit vorne nach unten gebogener Krempe auch gut aussehen, das klappt aber bei dem Material nur bedingt, auch wenn er danach wieder in die Ausgangsform zurückkehrt.

Good product...but it was crushed when it arrived...it appeared as though there had been some heat applied and it had melted a bit...I have one of these hats already and was very happy with it....I wouldn't order it again because of the condition it arrived in...the package was in perfect condition....so this was shipped already crushed!!
