Very nice texture....
Very nice quality & texture. Very tiny 'balls' of orchid powder delivered fresh & in double wrapping. The taste is very nice & smooth, & the maker of this did very good. It is pricey, so I won't be ordering a lot of this.

Did not setup like it should have.
Not sure on the authenticity!

Don’t buy this product.
Don’t waste your money. We bought this salep for making ice cream. I think it is not salep. It is smelling like sock.

No flavor
It wasn't clear what flavor salep would add to warm milk. Having tried it, it's none. It thickens it, and of course all the typical extras add flavor (sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, etc) but the salep itself adds virtually no flavor. I like this idea of a slightly thickened, sweet milk but you could get the same effect much cheaper by cooking some ordinary flour in milk. You could get almost exactly the same effect by cooking a very small amount of cream or wheat in milk.

Healthier option
I prepared following an online recipe and i was just like the original drink of my childhood in Istanbul. It is genuine sahlap. I also made variations for my family by adding carob powder to sweeten or stevia extract and organic cacao powder. I can recomend for recovering cancer patients. Much healtier option than the commercial starchy fake sahlap.

Packet from Greece. concerned with it.
It is not from an established food producer. It looks suspect. I am worried about its safety.
