*I really like this candle and would definitely recommend others try it. I bought this candle in hopes of capturing the scent of old book pages. If that is the scent you are looking for then this isn’t the candle. The scent smells just like old leather. It’s definitely not the cheap leathery smell you might instantly think of in your mind. It’s a sophisticated scent, one that you might encounter in an old personal library. If you or the person you are gifting this to are avid readers and lovers of literature, I highly recommend this candle. It’s neither masculine nor feminine, just a nice neutral fragrance. My only complaint is the throw is not that great, if you are using this in a smaller room it will be perfect.

This is my all time favorite candle. I have been searching for a book scented candle for years, and this is the only one that comes close. The main scent that comes through first is leather, then some other softer, papery notes. It has a good throw and is a VERY strong scent, which I was looking for and love, but I could see how it may not be everyone’s cup of tea. I will be devastated if this ever gets discontinued. The seller is awesome and super quick to respond to messages. 10/10 would recommend.

Got this for my book lover mom for Christmas because she really shouldn't have anymore books! Her place looks like a library! Unfortunately it arrived the day after Christmas, but she was quite delighted once received. I would give it 5 stars accept the scent is a bit too perfumey for me. My mom and sister love the scent, but if you're looking for something more clean and not too overbearing you may not be pleased. It does smell like old books and it does burn beautifully and is exactly as advertised so I think 4 stars is fair.

Scent is not what I expected and though many will like it I knew my mom wouldn’t and I bought it as a gift for her. They accepted returns which was great!

I have used this a few days and it has a strange undertone - like the smell of the book binder adhesive. It's not really a library smell (leathery, homey), more musty and odd.The glass becomes coated in black smoke once you get mid way through the candle - so it would be nice to have a wider jar.

It wasn't exsactly what i was looking for but i do like the smell. It smells more like youre adventring into a dark cavern or old castle . So i still like it even though i was looking for a library but i'll find it some day

Purchased this as a gift to someone who loves old book stores. She was thrilled at the smell & the thoughtfulness of the gift. She said it does smell like the real thing. Unknown on how long it will burn.
