Azaleas: A Book of Poems (Weatherhead Books on Asia) Kindle Edition

I have not read much poetry, but became interested in reading Kim Sowol’s work after watching Netflix The King: Eternal Monarch, which features several of his poems. Although some of the words are different from the drama translation, the meaning shines through in this book.This is the only English version I could find; and I am so happy with my purchase. I have read it several times and each time I find new meaning to his work. David McCann gives insight into several of Sowol’s better known poems, which give greater understanding and clarity. I would recommend reading it.

Soulful, I came across this from a korean drama I watched and love the poem so I looked up the author and found this rare book. I have read it and I am reading it for a second time because it is so heart renchingly beautiful to read. Each poem takes you on a soul searching journey with the author
