Neosil NEO-0159 Daily Transparent Silicone Scar Sheeting, 1-1/2" x 3" (Pack of 8)

I'm using this product to improve the appearance of a mohs procedure scare. It works every well.Here's the best way that I have found to use this product. Wash the are with soap and water and make sure it has dried completely. Then place the scar pad on the scar and press down. Rub back and forth the length of the scar so that the pad adheres well. Leave the pad on for 3 - 4 days. At this point it will start loosing some of its adhesiveness. Remove the pad and replace it using the above procedure.Using this process a box of pad lasts a full month. My plastic surgeon is impressed with the results thus far and has instructed me to use these pads for 3-4 months.

I used these to help heal abdominal scars from a surgery. I did cut each silicone pad in half to get more uses out of each one. They did not come off or move all at after showering or swimming and I left them on for about a week and mostly forgot they were there. I did not notice a huge change in the scars and can't really tell if the healing is due to the silicone or just the natural healing process of the scar. I did notice the scar line was a bit softer and not as hard after using them.

I wanted these patches to work but they did not. I had the perfect test case: two moles removed on the same arm. For one I used Rejuveness patches, which worked well (reduced color, lowered raised scar) but eventually I gave away or lost my Rejuveness silicone patches. So when the next mole was removed I bought these cheaper Neosil patches. I noticed they were about half the thickness. I used the tape from Rejuveness patches to keep the Neosil patches on because as others mention they can fall off (though the adhesive was ok if they didn't get wet). I followed the directions for months of use and my arm proves without a doubt that the Neosil patch had no effect. NONE. I get the same healing from no patch at all, sadly.

I was under the assumption that these stay on for day and days and even can get wet without an issue of reapplying them. I followed the direction carefully and the strip came off and pulled up almost immediately. It also says that you can remove it and wash the underside with soap and water and reapply. I also tried this as well and it pulled up. Perhaps maybe it's the placement of my scar. I have a scar on the top of my hand where the pinky bone goes down to your wrist. I kept it as far away from the underside of my hand and even the curve of the side of my hand and it still did not do as they claim. I am right now wearing it with a bandage wrapped around the silicon to keep it in place. I just do not want to waste $20 on a week's worth of this. Because the way it looks I am not going to get more than a days usage out of each strip. I'm extremely disappointed. (And before anyone says that I did not follow the directions. I made sure my hand was clean and I washed it and allowed it to air dry before applying the strip). This is not USER error or PEBCAK. It is either a defective batch or complete misinformation on the company's behave. Don't say I didn't warn anyone. Buy at your own risk.. or just donate the $20 you would waste on this.

These silicone sheets are nice & are theoretically reusable. I have an issue with sweating & so had some difficulties keeping these in place over my thyroidectomy scar. I would recommend them as they did help with the overall appearance of my scar.

Does the job recommended by plastic surgeon, can reuse

This does not work as well as the other brands, cheap quality, the patches fall apart /deteriorate very quickly, Hard to handle difficult to keep on. I had a triple neck fusion in January and have scars in the front of my neck and the back of my neck. I tried different products during my recovery. Among them this one was the only one that was satisfactory. Would not purchase again.

I've tried other brands, this one is way better. First off, it doesn't irritate my skin. The other ones would get itchy after a few hours. This one I leave on for a week with no issues. Also, it stays stuck in place, even through showers. Finally, having it be transparent is way better than the peach-colored ones. It is less noticeable (even on Caucasian skin) than the other ones, and it's kind of neat to be able to see your scar and how it's progressing.
