Easy to use, lots of options, loses battery life quickly.
Purchased 3 to put on our tanks while we were gone for a long weekend. Loved having up to 4 feeding times per day, and up to 3 full rounds of food each time. (Did NOT need that much, though!) Seemed to do great! I decided to leave them up so that we didn't have to worry about feedings each day. After a few weeks (maybe 5?), it seemed that they stopped working. The battery life was low, but the display was on. You could hit the manual button to feed, and it worked. But after we noticed that it only sporadically fed at the scheduled times, we decided to take them down. The next time we are away from home, we will still use them, with fresh batteries, and put them up at least a day or two ahead of time to ensure they are working.

Works perfectly, worry free.it
It came fully charged. I ran it for a week before I left for a 3 week vacation. Just to make sure it was going to do the job well.It worked perfectly. In fact I now leave it running every day as the perfect feeder for my fish.It did take a few tries to understand how to program the times and frequency of the feeder but once that is done, its perfect. Even if the power goes out it doesn't miss a beat. It has it's own internal battery and is charged with its suppied USB cable. After a month it still had a full charge. It also has an over ride button if you want to feed them while you stand there. That was a perfect way to determine if the feeder was dispensing the proper amount of food. The machine is able to be customized to many many different feeding situations. I highly recommend it.I have totally automated my fish tank. From lights, pumps and feeder. I don't have to have someone come into my house to take care of the fish.

Good product
Bougth the fish feeder to use for a vacation. Adding feeding was pretty simple and i like that it had a large opening. Programing took a little to figure out but eventually after consulting manual was able to get that programmed and setup. One thing that was a great concern was the battery life, when i got back home after a little over a week of vacation, realized the unit was off. That got me worried, what hapended and then i realized that the battery was done. If i did not come back in time, my fishes would have been dead. There should have been a warning or some info to tell you the expected life of batteries. For something so simple i am surpised the battery only last a little over a week. Overall, if it had better battery life or potenial to plug the unit in. I would have been totally happy.

Good product for the short time it actually worked
Ordered this product despite many reviews that said it stopped working after only a few months. Worked great for about a month or two, but then suddenly wouldn't spin to dispense the food. It started making a clicking sound as if the gears were sticking. I honestly feel like for the price you shouldn't expect much, but to have the product work for only a few months seems a bit outrageous. If this is such a common issue with these, why hasn't the company addressed it and fixed it? Anyway, product is good if you only need to use it for short periods at a time, and then when you're not using it I suppose you should store it away so that it doesn't break down.

A bit bulky and eats through batteries.
Does whats its supposed to do! It functions as designed, my only two complaints is: 1. It's a bit bulky and hard to adjust to to have the food drop accurately through the opening in the aquarium lid, leaving extra bits of food piling up over time.2. Batteries only last about 6-8 weeks (I use new high quality Duracell batteries). Pay close attention and replace when the LED shows the level getting low, you don't want your fish missing any meals. Also you have reset the clock and feeding times every time you swap the batteries.I'd love it if it were plugin, with battery backup, and more articulation in the mounting bracket for better aim. As of now its a solid 3 stars and probably just as good as its competitors.

It works!
I was def scared about buying these and so many. I have three tanks and one of them is a beta tank with a divider. We leave every weekend April through Sunday and apx 3 trips a year that are at least 7 days. I had to hope for the best. I love that you can adjust the opening for feeding. We have flakes for some fish and pellets for another. You want to test these before feeding in tank to ensure your not over feeding. I quickly knew I had to adjust the size of the opening for the pellets. Once you dial it in by dry running it over a bowl it’s amazing! Also to note. I didn’t even think that technically I needed two for my betas tank since there is a divider.. but!!! I didn’t !! I placed it right at the divider and the full rotation allowed food to fall on both sides of the tank!! So fish were fine when I got home! I am back to buy one more for my nursery tank cause we now have babies!! Lol also to note as well! You can schedule up to FOUR feedings a day which is def what I need for the fry!! Great product would recommend and let me tell ya .. I don’t do reviews but with the importance of our fishs health I felt compelled to tell you if you are trying to decide.

Update: Worked very well once I overcame the bad feeding instructions. Swivels to fit on your tank
This device works by rotating its food chamber (the clear plastic cylinder) one full rotation per feeding release. You can set 4 releases per feeding time. The food drops out of the sliding window you have opened on the chamber to the size that will let out the amount of food you want for each feeding time. If you have ever set a digital watch or clock that goes through a series of functions such as date, time, am/pm, or other options that require holding down a button or acting within a number of seconds, you will understand how setting the feeding times works. An option within the feeding time settings is the setting of 4 "boxes" - pale and hard to see on the time screen, but you can see it on the Amazon photo- each box representing a full rotation of the cylinder at that feeding time. Select box 1, 2, 3 or 4 to rotate and dump out a window-full of food 1,2,3, or 4 times per feeding time.I was able to fit this on my acrylic tank by setting a block of wood with a 1"X1" wood strip screwed to the block to which the device's clamp could be attached. The chamber swivels around so you can let the food drop where you want it.

Doesn’t last
This unit I would’ve thought lasted longer but now it just drains batteries and doesn’t last
