Great as an additive
These don't seem to be intended for anything other than adding protein to other foods. Truth be told, that's exactly what I was looking for and it does a great job of that. They are best for adding texture and they certainly deliver. For the reviews about the taste, they do not offer much and that seems to be the point. It's much more of an additive and it does a great job of adding protein and texture. I add it to Greek yogurt and cottage cheese as well as all sorts of random other dishes to get extra protein. It's a wonderful option that isn't whey isolate, albeit very niche.

About to receive my 3rd bag
I am very pleased with this product. Finished two bags so far. Check out that macro nutrient ratio! It reminds me of unsweetened rice crispy cereal. Amazing for boosting my protein intake on plant based diet. I add 40 grams of these puffs to my oatmeal! I added them to pancakes. I sprinkle these on yogurt or anything that’s not savory when I want to increase protein

Increased my blood sugar.
I'm sure these are well made and good in many ways, but if you have problems with blood sugar, beware. The serving size is 25g (I really wish they would make measuring it easier by saying how many tablespoons that is, but...). So I carefully weighed this and it seems to be between 5 and 6 tablespoons. In that there should be 2g of carbs and no sugar. That I can handle but this product increases my blood sugar so much I had stopped eating it.This is not a complaint about the company or the product itself, but something is out of kilter, so I wanted to warn anyone who does have to watch their carbs seriously.

Great for protein
Great choice for upping your protein game, I’m just lacking on ideas of how to use them, besides salad toppers. They do have an underlying taste to them, but it isn’t necessarily bad. If you’re vegan or plant based, I would recommend.

Never stop making this stuff!!!!
These edamame puffs are GAME CHANGING for this nearly-vegan backpacker. When i’m at home and on the trail, adding complete protein and crunch is as easy as adding a lil sprinkle of these fellas. Dang. I can really tell a difference in my satiety affer adding these to- cereal-salads- wraps on trail- trail mix- homemade granola- homemade granola barsKeep these people in business and get yourself some!

Great for no-bake bars!
These are AMAZING for no-bake protein bars! I used 8 servings of the puffs to make 8 bars which were 170 calories each, 20g protein, 18g carbs, 2 fat. Took about 20 minutes not counting the time to soak dates. Cost per bar with all ingredients came to ~$0.60. Can't get a protein bar with 20g protein for under $2 or $3 and even then, they have way more fat and sugar!Ingredients: 8 servings of edamame puffs, 8oz bag (225g) pitted dates, softened in hot water for 15 min; flaxmeal 'egg', 1 scoop PB2, and a little water (about 1/4 to 1/2 cup split between blending the dates, flax egg and to hydrate peanut butter).Soak dates in hot water, add to blender with flax egg, PB2, and a little water (better to start with less and add as needed). Add to mixing bowl with the puffs, flatten. I stored the tray in the fridge for an hour or two, then cut into pieces and stored the bars in the freezer. Easy peasy! For a bar that doesn't break apart as easily as these may, I'd use peanut butter or a binder of your choice.Optional: coat with some dark chocolate! I plan to try this next!

Tiny, not actually "puffs," and upset my stomach
I have a high tolerance for odd health foods and can force myself to like almost anything if it has good stats. But even I would not recommend these.Pros:-Great protein-to-calorie ratio.-They have a nice crunch to them.-They don’t really have much taste, but they don’t taste bad - it’s more of a generic unflavored crunch.Cons:-They upset my stomach. Although admittedly my stomach is sensitive (mostly to sugar alcohols and things of that sort), it’s never been upset by protein puffs in the past.-Despite reading the reviews that said the puffs were tiny, I was surprised by how small they are. Each pellet is smaller than a popcorn kernel. (See photo.) Given the size, it’s misleading to call them “puffs” - they have no puff and can't realistically be eaten as a finger food.-They come in a large bag that’s easy to get crushed.-When you open the bag, you’re hit with a smell that reminds me of dry dog food.
