Both arms have snapped.
I much prefer these to having in-ear headphones from a comfort perspective. I have generally been pleased with my set except for two points:1. There is a fair amount of sound leakage, as mentioned by others (whether this is a bone issue or particular to these headphones, I'm unsure). 2. More seriously, both arms have split and cracked around 1.5 inches from the end. The split (which happened first) is the separation of the soft inner cover and the hard outer shell (not a huge deal). The snapping is the actual snapping of the hard outer shell. The headphones still function fine but are now repaired with somewhat unattractive sellotape.I have had these headphones a while but they only get very occasional use. I don't handle them with kid gloves but I certainly don't abuse them so, all in all, this quality issue is a significant disappointment.

Smart, cool, well designed and work - only gripe; You can hear them as a bystander within say a metre
Well this is my first experience of Bone Conduction and it's not bad. The first surprise however was that if the volume is turned up you can hear the music coming from the unit even from a metre away! I had assumed BCE would be silent to everyone but only heard by me :-) Not so! The headphones are discreet and smart though and fit well - a good design, but what I am not so sure about is how much I am hearing through my bones and how much my ears are hearing from the escaping sound! I suspect moe from my ears :-) So would I buy again? Yes, they're smart, look good and work. Am I disappointed? Yes a little, the idea of silence and privacy of what I listened to really appealed and I'm disappointed people around me will still hear - not terminal, just not what I expected.

they have 1 major flaw
Loved the product, sound was ok bought mainly as you can listen to music and still hear the world around you. Ideal for public transport. However the product is no-where near as durable as it should be. Within a month it developed hair line cracks in the outside casing, which started to impede the products usability.

This product after just 3 weeks started to malfunction. The on and off switch started malfunctioning and then later the right ear started playing up. I got fed up and simply binned them. I will not purchase this product again.

A New Technology that Works Well
As a gadget geek I have always been interested in new technologies and new ideas. Bone conducting headphones fit firmly in that band. The idea behind them is the headphones sit just in front of the ears and audio is transmitted from the headphone pads into the bone and from there into the ear. This has the benefit that the ears themselves are left open and uncovered so you can hear some other outside noises. The headphones come in a smart box and have a USB cable for charging and a set of single use ear plugs if you feel you need them. They fit over the top of the ear with the band going around the head. The main control buttons are on the band behind the head but there is a call button and a multi-function button on the ear pieces for easier access. The built in battery lasts around 5 hours continuous use on a full charge. In use I was pleasantly surprised by the sound. There is a reasonable level of both bass and treble (ear phones are not the best size for the strongest bass) and the mid range is strong and powerful. For those around you, they can hear a little bit of noise if it is very silent but under normal conditions there is no external noise.Overall I am impressed with these headphones. I wasn't sure what to expect from them and the bone conducting technology but it does appear to work.Disclaimer: I received this pair of headphones at a discounted rate by the supplier in return for my honest unbiased review. The review is posted before the supplier sees it and the rating is in no way affected by the discounted price. The review is also based on the value at the current selling price and not the price I paid.
