Great Machine even better customer service
After I decided on getting this Ironman welder, I started the process of finding a seller that had a decent review and most importantly a great price. I purchased from Norex Supply. I get a notification that the welder is on its way a couple of days later I received a notification that it was in my mailbox! The welder was nowhere to be found, so I reached out to the supplier. Minutes later I get a text from an individual (not a robot). I spoke with Keith several times as he tracked down the welder. The interesting thing was I didn’t have to text him back, he just simply sent a text every time there was an update. Wow! I am a verified Amazon addict and I have never had better customer service. Now the welder It’s amazing. I’m a hobbyist and a mediocre welder. However, Once I stepped up to this bad boy, my game improved significantly! I’ve been welding with a portable multi welder for years and just couldn’t be consistent with my welds. Come to find out a big part of it wasn’t me! Stepping up to a “Real” welder was an absolute game changer. I love the Hobart but my guess is there are a lot of comparable welders out there, but if this is a big purchase for you and you want to be treated as if you and your purchase matter, use Norex Supply and ask for Keith!! 10/10

Save big bucks over Miller. Buy this! Update after 1.5 years in my shop
Haven't recieved mine yet, but used one and it is a workhorse.....UPDATE, just got it after only 4 DAYS! with Prime free shipping :) I already have the Hobart 210MVP for 3 years and I can't hurt it-It's top quality...I'll give the 210MVP to my son. I discovered as my need for a heaver welder increased, I needed to weld 3/8 to 1" steel often when welding monster mudtruck suspension items....My little Hobart 210MVP just couldn't burn it in but tried hard. So I just ordered the IronMan tonight. I've used this welder at a friend's house. I fully expect it will last me for many years. Hobart makes top quality welders. The rest of my gear is all Hypertherm and HTP TIG, so I don't nickle-dime when it comes to welding machinery....I simply know from experience the Hobart make top quality and reliable equipment. WHEE!, just got mine today a day early. It arrived in perfect condition. It welds fantastic ! I installed a 125 CFT bottle in the builtin rack, but there is plenty of room for a 330 ft bottle in case you were wondering. Ok, I've had this welder for 1.5 years and use it almost every day. The welder works flawlessly today as when new. It is a true beast with huge capacity and duty cycle, plus it welds small thin materials just as well as thick and heavy. I also have the spool gun and I am VERY pleased with it. I especially love that this machine has selectable voltage taps instead of digital type. This design is bullet proof and will never fail compared to a machine with digital controls and indications. This is a very basic and very dependable mig welding machine. If you need pulse mig or a smaller/ligher weight portable machine, then this one is not for you. But if what you need must work reliably and you have the room for it, then do not hesitate to buy it. I own some very expensive world class tig/stick welding and plasma machines that I KNOW will someday fail because they are digital inverter type, but this one will still be welding.

Super welder!
I replaced a welder that I was well satisfied with, but I had owned for over 20 years. I just thought it was time to replace it, but a similar welder of the same brand as I had was several hundred dollars higher. I was a little reluctant to change brands, but the price on the Hobart was hard to beat so I took a chance and I'm glad I did. Maybe it is new technology, or maybe it is just a great welder, anyway it has exceeded my expectations. It welds smooth, and fills gaps without burning through. If I had changed to a different brand, or type, of welding wire, I would suspect that had something to do with the amazing difference, but I pulled the roll of wire from the old welder and installed it in the new one, so it has to be the machine quality that makes the difference. This was only my second purchase from Amazon, but both experiences have been great.

I have used Hobart for many years and have had great results from Hobart welders
Delivery was fast, I have used Hobart for many years and have had great results from Hobart welders, although this is a great welder the ground line is to short at only about nine feet long on this welder, also the power cord is to short at about six feet which I can easily change both lines myself. I have mainly used stick welders which requires skill, and not all who call themselves a welder can stick weld. This Mig welder is so simple to operate with nice bead results, it takes no time at all to learn how to weld with a Mig. and its made right here in the United States of America. other than the short lines this is a 5 star Hobart machine...highly recommend.

Voltage Regulator Not Functioning
Voltage regulator is not functioning. Knob turns freely and doesn't actually change voltage. It seems like something is disconnected inside, but having to work with manufacturer and get warranty work done. Also, shipping company was late so I called to check on delivery and driver told me item was not on truck and would not be delivered that day. Somehow was on the truck Shipping company delivered 3 hours later than scheduled.

sounded good,,
I recently bought the Hobart iron man 230,,,bcuz of the description, sounded good,,, but. Just a note, they don't have or sell flux core nozzles, so your only be stuck during only a mig nozzle,,,, the 2nd part is this machine leaves numerous spatter beads that pretty much gets welded to the metal, chipping off the spatter is impossible would have to be grinded off, I also switched to numerous settings,,which gives you more work,if doing big projects etc,,,,,welder for 12 yrs now, I currently should've spent the extra $500 for a miller or lincoln,,,anyways. I'm stuck with it, it'll have to do instill I sell it
