I “understand “ that the curved blades are faster, with the straight blade perhaps easier for getting in and about the shrub / bush etc. There will not be much in it, especially for the domestic users. The silky saws are very sharp indeed, let it do the work and it will amaze how easy they are to use. careful does it as I snapped a blade on another saw, this was my fault , not the saws ! Can’t recommend highly enough, you will not be disappointed , also you can get spare parts, not a throw away item
