12 In. Lighted Holiday Star Tree Topper, for Indoor and Outdoor Use

While this star may look beautiful on your indoor tree, Don't plan on using this star on a tree outside in your yard. The wind will take it down off it's mount and it falls apart on the ground. I have had to glue it together and put it back up on the tree to make it stable enough to support the nastiness that wind can cause it.

Seems a little expensive for what you are getting - it is all plastic (hence the outdoor rating) and you insert all of the points into the "ball" to hold them. It is pretty looking and looks nice on our outside tree but I would like it better if it would have been $10 instead of almost $30.

I liked the look of it, and it was pretty simple to assemble the twist & lock parts. Unfortunately no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't get my tree anchored well enough not to fall over (it's an outdoor display) and after probably 8-10 falls, the pieces broke. The first few times, though, it held up. I'm sad the shipping is as much as it is or I'd buy another one.

It looks pretty- but it is incredibly fragile - especially in putting back in box after christmas- one piece broke off- after 2 years we have now lost 3- its parts are thin- not like I thought it would be from the pictures

Light is a little flimsey and falls apart when handled. It did stay together when I slid the star into a plastic tube and hung on the flag pole made into a large lighted Christmas tree.

The small device that is to slide onto the top of the tree may be too small to fit on the tree. I took plastic cable ties, a wooden dowel and some tape and taped the dowel to the plastic piece and strapped the dowel to the top of the tree. the longer the dowel the further you can run it down the center of the tree to support the star upright.

Very hard to assemble and pieces broke off and cracked in process. Thank goodness for superglue. Would not buy this again.

Could not use it on the tree it is to heavy for my 5 foot tree
