It's just okay
Hard to self learn. Speaker are too fast for clear copy cat pronunciation even on slow mode, book is not descriptive on pronunciation and lessons are confusing.

''in 30 days'' is my favourite series of language learning books. Perfect for individual learning, grammar is very well explained and the vocabulary is very well selected.

Not for beginners
Far too difficult for a beginner, gave up pretty quickly.

Good CD for the commute to work.
This course is working well for me. I don't do the book and CD together, because I've had 4 years of high school French. I want to understand French when I hear it in conversation, and playing the CD repeatedly in the car is helping with that. I read a few pages of the book each night. I'm up to lesson 5 in the book, and I've heard the complete CD about 20 times now. Each time, I pick up something I didn't catch before, so my listening French is improving.
