Disappointedly over-baked
Both pastries had a very dark appearance which was off putting. While packed with lots of raisins, taste wasn’t so good due to being over baked. Texture was dry, quite tough & rubbery despite it being within date. Wouldn’t buy again

Pastry disappointment
Pain au raisin is my favourite but felt this was overcooked. It didn't seem as soft. Was a bit disappointed.

Okay
Okay but dry.

Average
Clearly they've spent more money on packing and marketing. Sold as a premium pastry, this is no better than standard supermarket product. One of mine apart from dry pastry had 2 raisin in it, not the massive amount in the photo.

Ok but…
I’ve had these a few times now and apart from once they have always had a burnt taste which is a bit off putting but still edible

Are these cooked already or only part baked ?
These looked real nice on the page and I was looking forward to eating them with a cuppa. When they arrived, they weren't very big, not normal sized at any rate and though they smelled nice and looked really yummy with the juicy raisins in, in actuality they were very rubbery & tough, almost as if they needed to be cooked first - but no mention of needing to be cooked on the wrapper. I ate them because I'd bought them, but won't be buying any more.
