God value
Ordering through Amazon has saved me $100 against ordering from an inverter specialist company just in shipping!

worked perfectly
installed in a 6000 watt pure sine wave inverter, works as it should

Works As Expected
Flip up to fully power on. Flip down to put in standby mode. Comes with long cable. Screen is bright blue and gives battery voltage reading and degree of charge. Also gives percent load. For example, if you have a 4kw inverter and the screen reads 50% output, then you are using 2kw of the total 4kw. Also displays input voltage and output voltage if you are hooked up to shore power or a generator. The screen light will turn off after 15-20 seconds and you have to press a button to turn it back on. This is to conserve power.

it is pretty much garbage
I think for the amount of money, it is pretty much garbage. There is no back, and is completely exposed. It has an off/on button for the screen, but it shuts off after about 30 seconds anyway. You have to hold the button about 3 seconds for the screen to come back on. The first few days I had it connected the display went haywire. But now it seems to be ok and working as it should. I only gave it one star because for the money it's definitely not worth it.

Fancy remote, but not much use
I ordered this remote display for my Aims inverter. It's the public face of your behind-the-scenes power system, so why not show it off? It looks nice, has a fancy blue LCD display, so why not? Not. Firstly, it's expensive for what you get. For about 20% of the cost of your entire inverter, this disiplay shows you input and output voltage and frequency - who cares about that? It's just about 120V, maybe a volt or two higher or lower, and 60Hz, but doesn't affect anything. It shows battery voltage, and 'work mode' which is the same as the first two LED lights show you, and alarm and fault, which is again, shown by an LED light. Finally, it shows Output Load as a percentage, which is dumb, why not show the power in watts. What's worse, is the nice fancy LDC screen is low-quality (as you'd expect with any small LDC screen like this) and has poor viewing angles. So if it is mounted even 1 inch below eye level, you can't see anything on the display. Ugh. One-star for value, back in the box, and back to Amazon.Happily Aims also makes a simpler version, for only $26, which has the things you actually need, which is the switch and the 3 LED lights. So I bought that instead. Then, to understand the power your inverter is putting out, get a basic battery monitor, like the one from Drok with a 200A hall-effect sensor, for only $29.I did actually contact Aims tech support about another issue I had with the inverter. It was about this crazy buzzing sound produced by the transformer when using a heat gun. Later, I found this explained in the excellent user guide. The Heat gun has a half-wave rectifier to produce low-power setting, and this interferes with the magnetic field in the transformer. Totally normal, and no issue - just don't use the stupid heat gun on your nice inverter.Overall i'm happy with my Aims system, an excellent product at an excellent price - if you buy the LED remote switch panel.

AIMS Power Remote Meter
The meter works fine and has plenty of info as to how the inverter is performing. It would be nice if it came in a closure. For anybody interested in a box I used the following enclosure, Waterproof Electronic Junction Project Box Enclosure Case 200x120x75mm WP. Once you do the cut-outs it looks nice in the case. I used a chassis mount rj-45 connector with a short cable to connect to the meter. Now I can move the meter to another location and just plug the included cable into the back connector.Update: 07-26-2017 The three display lights no longer function. While unit is running there is no way to tell if it is inverting or charging without either turning display light on or looking at the actual inverter. Waiting on tech support.Update: 08-29-2017 Tech Support sent my repaired or either new meter back today and it works fine. It appears to be brand new as the box contained the cable and was packaged as if it was new and had the screen protector on it. I have included a few photos of the enclosure I made to mount the meter in. I only had to pay shipping back to Aims for repairing and they paid for the rest under warranty. Great Support

I have no idea why they are $160 bucks proud of this POS
This controls a 2500w inverter in an external cabinet in my Class A motorhome. I had to have some sort of switch and status panel and I thought that having the display would be great. Like other reviewers have said, it is hard to read and the timer is too short. the thing only draws 1/2A at 12v. Just leave the dang thing on for a few minutes for Pete's sake. Sometimes it take's me 30 seconds just to read it.I wish I had just bought the simple ugly blue one for $30 and spent the money on a decent shunt. That would be more informative for a lithium battery, would have provided much more information and I could actually read it.It is nice to see battery voltage, but the capacity level doesn't work with my Lithium battery, so that is useless. It basically says 3/4 full the whole time. Basically all I get out of this is the status (shore power/inverter), battery and AC voltage and output percentage (you have to do some head math to know your watt output). How about Watt output, inverter temp and other important information? It would be great If I could program in a power profile to get a better battery voltage. At least give me a choice for a standard LiFePo battery.Despite the lack of really useful information (which I think could be made available), I probably wouldn't gripe if the screen was simply more readable and stayed on longer. In black I like it better than the blue basic one, so that it good, too.

So far so good
This is a little expensive for what you get and am a little concerned because some people have had problems with them. So far so good.

What is the outcome of this problem ?
Received only the front of the remote and have tried to follow all instructions but almost two weeks and have not received any messages from aims or Amazon. I am very disappointed
