Are laptops more expensive than they used to be??
First of all the battery life is horrible, just over 2 hours isnt good enough for a laptop, it mayaswell be a mini desktop because its always plugged in. The screen is a very low quality 1080p panel, very low clarity so not ideal for watching films. It does boot up very quick which is good and the keyboard and trackpad are nice. Gaming on this is very limited, i run football manager 2020 on it which works fine but anything more will struggle. Its more suited for students or browsing but then again they dont need a graphics card so a different laptop with more storage would be advised. I find it very hard to recommend this laptop.

Not as advertised in photos. Completely different laptop.
The spec shown and the laptop appearing in the photos did seem too go to be true. And it was. It is not a 2 in 1 laptop, it does not fold into a tablet as show the photo. I gave it a chance and within 2 days it froze. Easy return process and quick refund issued.

Great laptop
I feel like most of these bad reviews are a case of user error... Great value for money and AMD Ryzen is way better than Intel as any enthusiast will tell you. I specifically wanted a Ryzen 5 laptop and for this spec your only other options are Lenovo or Huawei.I've not had it long and it does get pretty hot, but I've ran PCs at much higher temperatures for years so it's not a major concern. Also lighter than I expected, but feels sturdy rather than the flimsy plastic some laptops are made from.

Disappointed
Misleading as in pictures it shows a CD drive and it doesn’t have one.Fan is noisy and the laptop gets very hot after ten minutes of use.The dell I had back in 2015 was much better and faster.battery life does not last long and has a loud fan noise

Never buy Dell products. Laptop itself is fine, but not good when trying to extend warranty.
The laptop itself is fine but when you try to extend the warranty then you face issues of trying to find out the first owner. Amazon would not tell you that and Dell won't either.

Not the best Dell, nor a mid-range
We had to purchase a device for our son to attend classes on-line during the pandemic lockdown which means we didn't have much choices available and was pressed with time. The laptop arrived on time and packed safely. However, it didn't meet our expectation. It is heavy, slow to connect and looks like an old model - a disappointing purchase.

Alright would have been good without the little fault.
It arrived on time and works nearly as expected so its getting 4 stars because the reltek audio driver doesn't work properly. So a bit of a let down.To change from internal and external sound (speakers headset) the laptop needs resetting each time an output is plugged in.Because it wasn't for me I can't change the driver myself and will have to do it later in the year when I get access to the laptop.Failing that can't fault it so far.

Good practical machine
Laptop purchased as an a ready replacement for current HP business machine. Appears good and solid with albeit slightly less smoothness of ease as current working machine.First impressions are it is very fast and has more than enough hard drive space for purpose, but could do with a bit more memory (This can be up-graded) Feels a bit of a monster size wise, but this is the fist 17.3 machine we have purchased. This version is not backlit (which is not a problem) however there are no lights to indicate the machine is on or off.As the current machine is still in use, it has not been been fully put through its paces, so another review likely when used for a few months
