Backpacking With Dinosaurs Kindle Edition

This was a great read, not your everyday back to the past trapped, trying to get away from the killer Dino’s. The characters have depth and a past that the author cleverly weaves through the story. By giving you bits and pieces of their past, it pulls you into the story. I only gave it 4 stars because of a couple of things that I felt would have made the story better, however, I thoroughly enjoyed the book. Would have given it 4 1/2 stars if I knew how to do that.

Well written and good editing. When 4 friends from high school get together after 10 years and illegally enter a dinosaur preserve in the mountains. What follows is being hunted by t-rex . There are some very surprising twists to the story as you gradually learn about the past of the four friends. Very compelling to keep reading.

Interesting read, not what I was expecting. The novel starts off with several friends sneaking into a national preserve to get a new scoop on the dinosaurs in the park. Then, the book goes back and forth from explaining how the group met and some big secret in their past, to current events.

Four classmates reunite for a hike that will change their lives. Just remember, there are never any happy endings when a visit to this off limits park occurs. But the story, it's non-stop action, original, absorbing, and edge of your seat. My only issue was the proof reading, it could have been better. For example T-Rex, was it a he or a she, it's referred to as both in the same paragraph. The author also addressed social issues in a way that reminded you of "Carrie". But it was not in an accusatory YOU are bad way like others have done. The story ended up being more about the group of friends than about dinosaurs.

It took a few pages to get into the book but After a while I was hooked. I had to see what happens next. I was always surprised.I hope the rest of his books are as thought provoking and intense as this.

Backpacking with Dinosaurs is a quick read that will have you on the edge of your seat, keep you guessing & then shock you at the end!!!I love how the author intertwines the action & adventure in the dinosaur park with the history of the four friends. Hints of a dark time in their lives leaves you guessing what happened to divide this group & bring them back together again years later for such a dangerous trek. What these four friends experienced together in their past will leave you nearly speechless!Side note, I also really love the way this author compares the dinosaur sounds!This is not your everyday Dino book! What are you waiting for? Starting reading Backpacking with Dinosaurs!

This would have been a good story in theory, but the reality is that the author tried to cram too many topics in one short story. There are dinosaurs, and then there is race issues and bullying and abuse and gore and...a mess.

Wow!! This was a real thrill ride! Not only do we get a great dinosaur adventure, we also get the history on the 4 main characters which is just as interesting. I like how the author provided little snippets here and there regarding the characters until the whole story unfolds. Anyhow, I highly recommend Backing With Dinosaurs to those who like a little extra with their dinos.

Acquired this via my Kindle unlimited subscription which at least relieved me of the pain of paying hard cash for a book that really did not work on any level - almost good maybe so 3 stars for effort"

This book is barely worth reading, it finishes with the cheap television trick of leaving the result up in the air. It’s not a cliff hangar it’s a boring trick, and easy way to end a story.
