I have a full size bed and this does not cover the mattress on both sides. I don't even have one of those super thick mattresses, either. It IS nice and light. For those of us who get too hot at night it's great. It almost feels like a heavy sheet. It is LIGHTWEIGHT! I sometimes have to add a cover in the middle of the night. I also live in south Florida and we are again having a record high summer; I have new a/c in my tiny apartment, but I don't want to ruin it by running it at 60 degrees to combat heat that can be over 100 degrees daily. By nighttime it feels like it's in the mid 90's with FULL humidity. Basically, if you live somewhere that ISN'T a sauna, this may be too light for you.I haven't tried to wash it yet, but I don't anticipate any issues if washed in cold and tossed in the dryer. It was inexpensive enough that if it did fall apart, I wouldn't really care. I'm might even buy one again (but a much larger one).

Very pretty but after first wash one of the pillow cases color washed off and was very light after that. The second pillow case also lost some color but not as much.
