I am in love. Got this camera and put in my car. It was super easy to set up. You can play back what you recorded if you need to. Excellent picture on my camera. I mainly got this in case of an accident. I have mine set to record when the motor is running. I also set it so it would go 30 seconds after the motor was turned off. It is set and forget. It has worked perfectly for me. I would recommend it for anyone who wants a video camera for their car.

I selected this video camera for my truck because of its specifications and stated features. Like all the other reviews here have repeated, the video quality is great. I love the 170 degree angle of view. BUT, setting this thing up was frustrating:1) Because an SD card was not included (as was clearly stated on the web site), I purchased a 64 GB, Class 10 card as recommended in the specifications. (I purchased a SanDisk Ultra, 64GB MicroSD XC I). After installing the card and turning on the camera, I was met with a message on the display informing me no SD card was inserted. Thinking I had not pushed it in all the way, I ejected it and reinserted it firmly. Again, I received the same message. Thinking something was wrong with the SD card, I inserted it into one of my tablets. It worked just fine. When I put it back in the camera, I received the same “no SD card inserted” message. So, I took an old 16 GB Micro SD card I had laying around and inserted it. This time the camera recognized it and was happy.2) The manual is hilarious to read. It has been poorly translated into English from another language. One of my favorite lines: “…if there is no two actions of electrify/outage, then the machine can’t auto power on/off, if such condition happened please consult 4’S shops or car beauty shops for modify to solve the problem.” [sic]3) The manual is barely helpful. The entire manual tells you how to navigate the menus and turn features on/off or alter the selections. It never explains WHY you might want to turn a feature on or off or change a selection. For example, the camera has “LDWS Detection”. Never does it explain WHAT this feature does or HOW it works. Further, there is a “LDWS Calibration” feature. Never is it explained WHY you need to run this calibration or HOW to run it. This camera seems to have some great features (G-sensor, motion detection, GPS, etc.), but it never explains what these features are or how to use them.4) Settings aren’t saved. After setting up the video resolution, date/time, delayed power off, etc., the night before, I returned to my truck in the morning and discovered it reset back to factory settings. I know I didn’t select “factory reset” from the menu, plus it had been plugged into the charger all night long without any power loss. (My accessory plug stays on in my truck.) So, I set it back up again. We’ll see how long it lasts this time.Overall, the camera does take great video and is priced right for the features you (seemingly) get. It certainly does the basics well. However, it would be helpful to know more detail about these features and how/why one might use them.

This is my first dashcam. Installation is simple and quick. And the lane drift feature and object avoidance features are nice. However it does have a few issues in my opinion. 1. The directions and set up guide need to be a bit more detailed, only provides the most basic info and does not tell you to change between the different menus. Like basic settings (formatting the card) and video settings. The object avoidance feature is a little over zealous, warning me about stuff like trees and signs, or if in a parking lot, parked vechicles. Found myself turning off the warnings chimes for those. The other big issue seems to be that there is now way to access the videos from driving even if the camera is connected to a computer, or perhaps I am missing something to be able to access those. Otherwise this seems to be a great basic dashcam for someone new to them... or markets new to them like here in the US.

UPDATE 10-10-2016:After using this camera for about a few months i realized that the camera was turning off and on off and on every minute or so. The camera is supposed to LOOP RECORD which it doesn't. I have tried everything; reset the camera, change the memory card, format the card but nothing seems to work. I find myself having to re-format the card in the middle of my drive. Because the camera keeps turning off and on, there is a chance that it would not be able to capture a possible accident and that makes this camera completely unreliable.So right now i am writing back and forth with the company and i have sent and received a dozen emails before they realize "we are sorry there seems to be a problem with the camera"Really? You dont say!Now they want me to send it back to their warehouse, i have no idea where it is but i definitely do not want this camera. I dont know if they will even try to give me a refund, if they do, i will update this review again.MY RECOMMENDATION IS NOT TO BUY THIS CAMERA. A LOT OF HEADACHE!This camera is realky really good for the price. Day time recording is really good. It automatically starts and stops recording as you start and stop the vehicle.I havent checked it on the laptop screen but it seems like the night time recording is a little dark but i will update after checking on big screen.

I bought this cam a few months ago. No issues and the video is great. I wish it had the GPS but i can live without it.
