Are some higher beings managing our lives or not? See this movie and decide for yourself
My dear friend in Slovakia was often in our frequent discussions bringing up and emphasizing the same theme: "So how is that? Is someone managing everything in our lives and the society from behind the scenes, or not? Are we simply puppets in their big games?" I was always asking him who are they and called his philosophy "theyismus". Also it is fashionable now in some new age circles and speculative movements claim that we are subjects living in someone's video game. This 2011 movie, with Matt Damon and Emily Blunt, by the way quite similar to Matrix series, is giving you opportunity to think about it and also think a lot about a free will. Is the free will unlimited, limited or we do not have it at all, it may be just an illusion? Is the free will a gift from Creator or creators, as high official of The Adjustments Bureau in the movie is claiming: "We tried the free will before, but we took it away because you did not deserve it." So, dear reader, is any difference between the claims that God sometimes defined by fundamentalist religions as a person sitting on the cloud planning, managing and controlling everything, or Chairman in the movie leading The Adjustment Bureau, or higher being playing a video game with us as pawns? See the movie, ponder and decide for yourself. I agree with the protagonist David Norris that beyond our harsh physical reality in higher alternative realities it is the Love which can overcome everything. Unfortunately the Love in our physical reality became heavily compromised by our unjustified desires.

Enjoyed
Once I found out how I accidentally triggered a narration explaining every action taken, such as, she washes her hands, a phone rings, he answers it, etc., thanks to an Amazon chat, I turned it off & watched the movie. I liked it. Not for everyone but what movie is? I like Matt Damon & Emily Blunt, so cool for them to be in a syfy kinda love story. Well done! But, I'm still miffed I turned that narration thing on accidentally when I was trying to ensure closed captions were on. I like closed captions because I'm an old goat with some hearing loss & also because some shows have voices too loud, others have action too loud, most have volume that goes up & down between conversations & action stuff like car chases or the music crescendos or what have you, and I miss some of the convo. I can't deal with constantly holding the remote in order to adjust the volume as quickly as possible ore rewind a bit to hear it again..2 or 3 times & I STILL can't catch it....so it would be nice if closed captions stayed on for every movie or show I watch (I'm talking to YOU, Reviews Reviewer of Amazon...pass it on!!), & still be on even if I log out & back in the next day. It should be an option for my account, not per video. It's a pain in the arse to have to turn it on for each new movie/program I watch. I even tried some other video to see if it had narration & it did, but it was a man's voice narration every step so that made me think it was Amazon'a player, not me...and look what happened, too...I mis-clicked & had no idea I mis-clicked & was speaking rather profanely about Amazon's movie player as I opened a chat with Amit who explained that narration WAS on, and I was lke, yeahhh, that's why I chatted you up, ohhhh, waaait....you mean I turned it on?....heheh....oops...TY again, Amit. I know I was the source of some eye rolling later as you told others, guys, guess what I just got from a customer...lol....I would do it, too, so no worries here about it. I didn't even know such a thing existed, but I will probably need it one day, so cool. But...I will probably forget it by the time I need it. Hey, wotcanisay? Oh, wait..BABY BOOMER!....there, said it for ya's. It's just another way of saying, OLD FART! Your Gen's moniker will take our place when you age out, too, numb brains. =oD

Your Basic Mortals Entangled In Gods Plan, With Angels Sent To Put Them Right; With Different Working Titles Movie
SciFi? This is a Matt Damon film, which means it strives to be a thinking mans Hollywood entertainment. That translates to giving what is essentially God, and the Angels, new corporate working titles, like The Chairman, and The Adjustment Bureau. And they wear retro-cool clothes out of "Men In Black", no robes and sandals. No wings, either, but they've got doors. So God, I mean the Chairman, has a plan. The Plan. But the Plan changes every now and then, no one knows why, and apparently Damon and Blunt were to have met and fallen in love, but now the Plan has changed and that isn't in the works. One of Angels, I mean the Adjusters, is still on Suburban time though, and doesn't get his butt where it's supposed to be, so when Damon spills his coffee, it's on Blunt, not in Washington Square. Now it turns out, when this sort of thing happens, the Angels, I mean Adjusters, come in and basically clean it up by wiping out everyone's memory, no harm done. Except when someone like Damon's character comes along, and sees too much, and then they simply confess and warn him about what will happen if he doesn't get with the program.Of course, Damon's character does not get with the program, and it turns out that if you can reach God, I mean the Chairman...Terry Gilliam and much of Monty Python did a low-brow (and low budget) version of this back in the eighties with "Time Bandits" where a marauding group of also-not-called-angels, with God's Plan, drop through its holes and loot history, from Napoleon to the sinking Titanic, with, as it turns out, God following them to fix the holes. Hired hackers as we'd call them today. Both are entertaining films, I think I'd prefer "Time Bandits" as it doesn't go to quite the pretense of not being able to say what it's characters are, but then again, look at how many folks saw this film as SciFi. Lotta KoolAid going 'round...
