I need to begin by stating I am not a beard aficionado and am still relatively new to beard balms, oils, and what not. I had been using a beard balm, and it was working rather nicely. I wanted to try some beard oils, and compare the differences between them.First, I must say that the SoliiduS Beard Oil came in a very nice gift box. I like that this beard oil was fragrance free, and it really was! I have tried other types of products in the past that were supposed to be fragrance free or unscented, and they ended up having a scent. This was not the case with this beard oil. I wanted an unscented beard oil to use on days that I am wearing cologne, so that the scents don't clash with each other. I quit using my beard balm a couple of days before trying this beard oil, so that I could get a better idea if this oil would work as well as the balm I have been using has worked for me. I am happy to report that this beard oil works great! My beard has continued to stay soft, and isn't scratchy. No beardruff has returned. My skin feels good. I would definitely say that my foray into beard oils has been a huge success.Another thing that I will note here, is that with this beard oil it seems to take maybe 20 - 30 minutes to absorb into my beard and not have that oily feeling. This is probably 5 - 10 minutes longer than what the beard balm seems to take. This is still not necessarily a bad thing, or a deal breaker by any means.I would definitely recommend this product to my friends, family, and the Amazon shopping community. With the Christmas holiday season right around the corner, I would also recommend this as a gift or even as a stocking stuffer item.* I received this product at a discount in exchange for my unbiased, honest review. This is such a beautiful and beautifully-packaged item, it's really quite surprising when you open it up, even after seeing photos online. It's such a handsome item, it would make an incredible Christmas or Birthday gift for any guy with a beard, but I had to admit to myself that this was kind of a "Homer gift." I'm going to benefit from it more than my partner is! I can't stand how scratchy my partner's beard is, so this was more of a "me" gift than I realized.Aside from the handsome packaging and product, it also doesn't have a strong/scent-heavy odor (fragrance free) that will make guys feel too floofy. And best of all, it actually works to condition and soften the hair and skin. The real trick may be getting the guy to apply it daily for maximum benefit, but at the very least, I know my guy will remember to use it on the days he thinks we might be getting busy. That's a good start! I purchased this product at a discounted price in exchange for my honest and unbiased review, but if I can convince my partner to use it consistently, I will be coming back for more at full price!This product is made in CA by Top Shelf Essentials, and the label clearly states the ingredients and says it is nut allergy free (very important note for those with severe nut allergies). I'm not entirely sure if there is any risk of cross-contamination (using the same machinery used to process nuts) or not, though, so it's probably best to contact the company before buying if you or your partner has a severe allergy. Wow can I just say how great the stuff is?! We just got this product and absolutely love it. I am writing this review along with my husband because he doesn't have an account. First of all the packaging is beautiful and very gift-worthy. On first impression it looks like a very high-quality product. We are both very sensitive to strong fragrances, and this is extremely natural and basically fragrance free. The only aroma that it has is the natural scent of mostly jojoba oil. My husband absolutely hates products and he was very pleased with this beard oil. It goes on smoothly and lightly without leaving a greasy residue at all. It leaves the skin soft and well conditioned. Usually in the winter when I get very dry skin I tend to use coconut oil or Argan oil for my moisturizer. I think I will end up stealing this product to use for myself ha ha. This company should totally make moisturizing oil for women also!
